As a well respected figure around the club i can hear by tell you that this is complete and utter nonsense... No such manager has been appointed yet but there is some very interested candidates who have made themselves available

a bective man are we... jealousy will get you knowwhere i can tell you that for free. as a very knowlegable man in ratoath every player that was playing against ashbourne is a born and bread meathman except for o brien he is a dub alright.. but the only one i am proud to say

therealpmccann, for a self-confessed "well respected figure around the club" and a "very knowledgeable person in ratoath," you don't know very much because not all the lads are born and bred meath men. now, for the huge influx of dubs in the last 15 years, it is incredible how small a percentage of them got involved in the club, but to suggest only 1 lad on the team is originally a dub is ridiculous.

Why dont you enlighten us brownstown lad and point out which of the starting 15 in the Junior Final which of the lads arent originally from Ratoath?

Think most of the team are indigenous made up of families descended from families belonging to the Crannogs in Lagore.

Naming names isnt fair but off hand i can think of a wing back and a man in the full foward line who are "blow-ins."

Are you all having a laugh or what. Who cares where any of the Ratoath team are from, whether they are blow ins or not. The fact is its a Ratoath jersey on their backs and they are proud to represent the parish of Ratoath. To try and dissect the team and work out where each player is from is pathetic and small minded but then alot of the posts are of that nature so again I ask myself why do I rise to it?

this post is a joke regardless of what club you're fromyou're just as much a meath man as the next person. the fact that clubs like ashbourne, ratoath, dunboyne etc are called dublin clubs is a joke. the fact that they're situated near the boarder shouldnt have anything do to with it hoe much of a meath man one is. these clubs all have huge schemes put into underage development and now that theyre finally starting to give results people like yourselves dont like it. clubs like bective are only the laughing stock of the county if all clubs could put as much work into underage like the likes of the so called "dublin clubs"maybe meath would have a half decent team and not a bunch of junior jealous clubs like yourselves

those lads are not from meath therealpmccann (not that it matters, they have played years with the club). and please stop blowing your own trumpet. and yes, this has turned into a petty argument, and i partly blame myself. so moving on, looking forward to the leinster semi final, ratoath will have to improve a lot but their main goal has been achieved this year so have nothing to lose.

Any word if Ratoath have played their first game in the Leinster Junior Championship? Or it they have, how they got on? I see Ciaran Kilkenny's team Castleknock won the Dublin Junior Championship and have played a game in Leinster already.

yes, ratoath beat the offaly champions in a bad match and are in the semi final now. unfortunately its no exaggeration to say that half the team is missing for the next day. it will be up to bobby o'brien to have a good scoring day with the 2 corner forwards missing.
