rath_togh What you're saying is totally disrespectful to Ashbourne and Ratoath who are in the final and have beaten Bective in the championship in the past 28 days or so.
Ratoath beat bective in a dead rubber game and everyone knows that, the result meant nothing but yet you cling on to this victory as justification as to why you should be in the final? And as for ashbourne I wish them all the best but that is due to them beating us and i do hope they go on and win it because the semi final last week was, in essence, the real final because the winner was only ever going to come from it.

themadzerbyrne yes all these players i believe are over hyped and you are quiet clearly buying into the hype,
I do not think that this group of players is overhyped like you claim but only time will tell, its just a pity that we will not see them in a county final.

I didn't realise you were a Bective man & am therefore not going to engage with you any further. Just like we didn't come on here downgrading Dunsany of Ballivor before the final last year I'm not going to fuel your whinging now in defeat. Your not doing your club any favours at all but embarrassing them.

We're going to enjoy the build up to a County final despite what the likes of yourself try to do. If we're good enough on Sunday we'll be the best Junior team in Meath this year if we're not Donaghmore will. Learn a bit of graciousness, its the least expected trait in any grownup.

Roll on Sunday

Ashbourne have that bit of a advantage over Ratoath on Sunday as this will be ashbourne's 2nd week in a row up in Navan, they got the luck of the draw and got to play their semi up in Navan, interesting to see how it goes to say the least

i just cant wait for the homecoming in ratoath, was talking to one of the locals who organises the stuff in the commmunity on the phone today, and he was telling me they have a open top bus to the clubhouse, and they have somehow been given permission for a bonfire to happen with firework. it all sounds good, but the backfire that is gonna happen from ashbourne will have ratoath wanting to jump in that bonfire

@lamgod
You are fairly outrageous with your celebrations from what you think will happen in Ratoath after the final to be honoust, if Ratoath do and probably will win on the sabot I'm sure it will be a fairly modest win along with the celebrations, your "open top bus" is far fetched

im sorry iamgod but as i am regarded as a very knowlegable person around the gaa club i am currently unaware of any of these events so on basis of that i would deem this accusations your making to be complete and uter POO

if they do have a open top bus i hope it lashes rain, dat would be so stupid, knowing ratoath theyl probably go through ashbourne on that bus if they win

I was talking to the HAM throught the course of last week and he gave me no insight to these celebrations, as far as I know one of the club members is donating soup and sandwiches for after the match which makes more sense.

if ratoath do have an open top bus it would be disgusting and highley disrespectful
therealpmccann - you say you are a very well knowlegeable person from ratoath which is extremely cocky... i presume you laugh at your own jokes aswell do you... your comments are riddiculous.

Congrats to both Ratoath and Donaghmore/Ashborne on their wins at the weekend and gaining promotion to Intermediate football. A further congrats to Ratoath who will be representing us in Leinster. Best of luck to both teams next weekend in the final.

To the Ratoath lads on this forum, anyone with half a brain knows ye are well deserving of yer place in the final (same applies to Donaghmore/Ashbourne!). Just ignore the posters who can't see this.

Tough being away for the pre-match buildup but will be in Navan on time for tomorrow's game. Very excited and proud of the lads. Win or lose this year is the start of Ratoath's rise at adult level. It started properly with coaching of brilliant underage talent 13/14 years ago. From chatting to the lads Davy, Simon and Marty have trained this team like an inter-county one all year. Hill of Tara, Bettystown, Phoenix Park, Dunboyne gym, Codliss, Navan Swimming Pool, National aquatic centre and Sean Eiffe Park all year 3 nights a week.

No matter what happens tomorrow and no matter what people here write about them they have worked hard and are as dedicated and honest as any other team in Meath. The problem is, so are Ashbourne. They have put in the same underage work with better results, have raised the funds, built world class facilities, produced so many footballers, Meath minors, Seniors, Juniors and U21s in the past 7 or 8 years that we know their 2nd team are to be respected.

Either way some kids on here will continue their hate campaign but the lads won't care. The Chronicle I hear didn't send a reporter to our semi-final and LMFM previewed the Junior B but not the Junior A. Ratoath hopefully will take strength from all of this. Bottlers? Thanks for the added incentive!
