What would relegation do for Dublin/Galway?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Well folks ?

Will it make a difference to the progress of each side in the last few years ? Will it set either team back should they lose today ? How damaging could a defeat be for Dublin or Galway ? Or does it really matter ?

well division 1b ( division 2 ) is a lot stronger then it was last year so it wouldnt be too bad , i think dublin need to win this more than galway , matches against the likes of wexford , limerick , offaly and antrim wouldnt be harmful to the young hurlers of galway imo , but for a team like the dubs who have much bigger ambitions it would be a disaster we need to be playing the likes of tipp , kk and cork in order to be prepared for the championship each year , think well win today which shows how far we have come considering we are without the big 5 .....keaney , hiney , rod , brady and mccrabbe

At least it would give Galway an excuse for when they flop in the championship.

Disappointed to see Dublin demoted, but I think they will be a lot better in the Championship. Perhaps Snuff might advise if its all part of a cunning plan to lull the rest of us into a false sense of security. At the end of last season he was predicting eternal success and said it was possible that Cork might never again win a hurling game against the Dubs. Anyhow on a more serious note they do need to get a few of the missing brigade back pronto, I know its a cliche but hurling does need Dublin to be competitive.

Perhaps you're right stekhli, but take that loss on the chin now and enjoy second tier hurling next February.

Dubs will be back come Championship

I thought we had some fine displays in the league this year. Tipp, Cork, Kilkenny.. we could have come away with 6 pts instead of 1 from those games

Just wasnt meant to be...

Considering the limitations at the minute it's not at all shocking of a result.
