FL Division One semi-finals

I might have missed something but there's not a whole load of discussion going on about the games. If it's reflected with poor crowds...

On form and for being top 2, possibly a Kerry v Cork final beckons but I wouldn't be writing off the other two at all.

Aidan O' Shea is a big loss to Mayo, surprised to see Mortimer start ahead of Cillian O' Connor. Kerry almost at full-strength. Only the hardcore supporters will be there from Kerry and Cork. I can see Cork beating Down well.

IF it is to be a Kerry v Cork final they shouldn't have it in Croker. We all love Croke Park but in this current climate it takes a lot of euro's to get there?

Good man Dan thats the type of talk us underdogs like to hear. Seriously though I do fancy a Kerry Cork Final as we are without two top players in Dan Gordon & Danny Hughes. Cork have handed us three hammerings on the trot and to have any hope we would need a full squad. I tipped Kerry from the outset and still fancy them

Won't be making the trip to Croke Park this weekend.

Predicting comfortable wins for both Kerry and Cork. I just hope, like the 2010 AI Final, Down can compete with Cork over 70 minutes and cut out the silly mistakes that have been killing us in previous games against the Rebels.

I think both semi finals are live on tg4, so a poor attendance is expected. Be lucky if there's more than 7k in attendance.

AN DÚN ABU!

In 1997, Kerry played Cork in the Páirc in the National football league Final, there is a home and away arrangement already for league finals there, I'd imagine it will be in Killarney of it Kerry/Cork.

The GAA know too that very few will travel to Croker if it a Kerry/Cork Final. Common Sense "Should" prevail.

It will be played in Croker if its Cork and Kerry in the Final as it will be part of a double header with Kildare and Tyrone and both of them counties will bring a decent crowd with them.

Should the division 2 final be on after the division 1 final? Cause as you say Tyrone and Kildare will bring big support. By the way I for one am not writing off Down or Mayo but even them two teams wouldn't bring the same numbers as Tyrone n Kildare.

clondalkindub - No way. Why should a division 1 final take preference over a division 2?

I believe if its Cork v Kerry in the Division 1 final, that it should be played in semple stadium or else let them toss for killarney or cork - it would be fairer on the fans.

Kerry v Cork final would be a nice taster before the championship but this is the league & don't be surprised to see a Down v Mayo final instead.

Well we had Jack o Connor earlier saying that their goal was not to win the league but to find players and now a Cork selector has effectively said the same thing. So there you go fans,as if the league isnt treated with enough respect, were now faced with the real prospect of having the final between two teams who arent even bothered about winning the thing,so think about that before you fork out the dough to travel to Croker.

What are these "tactics" of which you speak culmore?
In seriousness I have heard of tactics, and I have also heard how the Gaa is facing stiff competition from other sports and with this in mind it is not healthy when managers treat a national competition with such disdain.

Go find a post from me criticising Conor. Stop the bullsh*t of tarring everyone on HS with the one brush.
