moomoo,

There has been no sign of me for a few weeks you may have noticed! Im busy signing new contracts and keeping my empire at the top of the pile!......Eh, it certainly has nothing to do with 'one code wonder' minnow hurlers losing a second rate championship.....!!!!

How did O'Dwyer and Rochford get on for ye by the way?.....And there was you making out that Dublin were the only county to have hurlers from outside the county playing for us!!.....at least ours play for clubs within the county itself!!

......what say you, moomoo??!!

Regards,

Snufalufagus....Laochra Gael

Some things never change with you Snuff. Like always you come on and try and change the subject like you always do. You also still use the excuse of your make believe ''business'' when things dont go well for the Dublin. Only showing your head when they have ''success'' Im sure once Dublin get another hiding off Kilkenny you'll be over run with ''work'' or on holiday like you always are.

Yes Kerry have outside players playing with them whats your point? Most counties outside the McCarty Cup do. Yet Dublin are the olny team in the McCarty Cup who do strange that the only true dual county with all there underage ''talent'' would need outside players in both football and hurling

Like always you change the subject and go on about something that have nothing to do with what you were asked.

Dublin however are the only ones in the McCarty Cup who do, strange that seeing as you claim them to be the only true dual county that plus all there underage ''talent'' why do they still need outside players in both football & hurling?

So once again you change the subject instead of answering, thats the second time you've done it, whys that?

Again proof you've no answer you have to attack someones personal issues, says it all about that type of person you are.

So now your excuse for disappointing is because its the summer? In the last post it was because you were working, whats your next excuse going to be?

What myth? There are facts, more people playing it at all levels than anywhere else. Now success, well how do you measure it? I'd like to think its about numbers playing and participating, because the law of averages dictate you will have a far greater chance of adult success. The only problem Dublin has is lack of believe. That comes from as lack of tradition. When a Dublin team no matter how good or bad is playing counties like Offaly and Wexford they believe they can beat them and Dublin struggle. But Dublin will make a breakthrough and when they do there will be a strong conveyor belt of talent to maintain it. Only a matter of time. There is no decline in Dublin, its wishful thinking on those counties falling way behind.

Didn't mean to slag off Kildare. Have lots of friends there. So apologies to the decent Lilies here!

As for our hurlers. We are at a level we've not been for 50 years so happy enough. Probably not good enough to win the big prize but we'll keep at it.

Have we been all duped into that KK hurling is better than it is?!!!

I'm still hearing that their second team would beat any other team! Fact is Shefflin and Fennelly are irreplaceable and without them as most hurling people will tell you KK are definitely back near everyone elses level. KK are not the team they were in 08 but the sad fact is every other county are still not quite up to their level yet. From what I seen of Dublin and Offaly against KK is neither were near their best yet both came close. KK can be beaten but having said that they will still probably win AI. Personally I hope Dublin beat them and then we will see if Tipp have the desire. Personally I don't see us beating KK but I'd rather play them in the Qualifiers

I think you are mostly right tiobraid. They are getting on in age and that will find them out. Perhaps not against Dublin but some day this year I suspect, going on what we have seen. Also agree with you about Henry and Fennelly. They are not being replaced and had it not been for Walsh yesterday they were gone.

That has given a spring in the step to a alot of hurling coaches around Dublin. At all levels
Galway is gonna be a huge and incredibly hard game .nothing won at the moment.
but to go toe to toe with kilkenny over two matches and come out on top is massive for selfbelieve. ye can coach and talk about how games can be won ,but to see it put into practice is massive.

I think the myth that is being dispelled is that Kilkenny are still unbeatable. To be honest, they have looked pretty ordinary without Fennelly and Shefflin. From 2006 to 2009, this team were peerless, and any true hurling person HAD to admire that. They were so good, that they have continued to win All-Irelands past their best. But can we have an end to one incredibly annoying statement/joke that we hear year on year.

Their B team is not the second best team in the country. They would get walloped. Kilkenny are still worthy All-Ireland favourites, but they have lost three championship games in the past four years. That's not something that would have happened a few years back, regardless of the opposition.
