I agree, some great players over the years, Liam dunne being my favourite of those you mentioned and it's nice of you to point it out. Just not my favourite overall.

JBM, lovely style...just nonchalant in the way he played, loved watching him....though to be honest I was cursing him yesterday.

For hard and fair Cummins of KK, some midfielder.....reckon he was made of granite.....and used to carry the hurl like you would a shot gun.

HurlingDub...Joey was probably my all time favourite Dub. Head down head for goal, lads chopping lumps of him and Joey would keep going. Probably the only hurler I saw who was annoyed when a Ref gave him a free.

Of the modern era...and I know I am biased (and I refuse to put back in my other eye), and he is only starting out but it will be Liam Rushe. I reckon his star will shine brightly for 10 years or more.

Tommy Walsh for me. I have neer seen him play average let alone poorly.

From my own county I would have to say Seanie Mc Mahon - very stylish hurler, fantastic reader of the game and tough as nails too

As a back man myself Liam Dunne would be a player I'd have admired particularly towards the end of his career. One of the great half backs of that mid 90's generation

Joe Cooney. A class above Nicky English. Modern day it has to be Tommy Walsh.

Favourite ever from another county would be Seanie McMahon or Damien Fitzhenry. Toss up but both were players I always looked up to and played in good and bad teams and were head and shoulders above in all! Oh and no idea why but loved Joe Rabbitte!

From my own county I love watching Tommy and DJ, but always had a Grá for Willie O'Connor and I do think Richie Power will be a huge star too! Henry just astounds me at times! With everyone talking about Tommy they need to come down (or up) to see him play for Tullaroan. They've been fighting relegation for 5 years solid and he's dragged them out of it everytime!

Ciaran Carey - He had it all, tenacious defender, great fielder and a magnificent man to take a point, player full back, centre back, midfield, half forward and full forward in his career...

Only man that comes close is Tommy Walsh

Leahy wouldn't be the most loveable hurler of all time but he was probably one of the most skillful and entertaining to watch.

The Offaly team of the nineties had it's fair share of crowd pleasers between duignan, troy, pilkington and the Dooley's.

For the short time jamesie was at the top he was great to watch too.

Of the modern players I love watch Noel mcgrath, mullane and Sheflin.
