i remember Michael Hickey from Dublin (Davis's brother) got a very large score in either an all-ireland semi-final or final in the 1970s. it might have been against Armagh.. can anyone confirm . I can't find any info on the interweb.

S Goldrick. Michael Hickey scored 0 - 11 in League or Leinster final around 1979/80 I think (but don't put your house on my memory!). Was brilliant free taker but got dropped by Heffo for missing one. Or so the story goes :-)

Really daft scores at underage level. Are top individual scores on record for senior inter-county? Perhaps not at club level

I heard in Down club football, Donal Bell of Teconnaught once scored 2:12 from midfield. More amazing is that was the total score for his side! Perhaps some of our East Down bloggers could confirm this.

Donal played for the county in the early 80's winning a National league medal in 83.

I can confirm that Marty did score that total of 0-18 in one match. What makes it even better is that the whole team 1-19 and martins tally beat the other teams score

ok lads i should have made my point clearer... 5-8s and 2-12s and scores like that are all big totals but lets change it to the amount of times scored as in(5-8 being 13 times)... Thats a different story!
