Kelf I take your point. And yes dublin has benefited from players whose family moved to dublin. But this is a player who has played senior for his county and wants to transfer mainly due to falling out with manager.
This is where this is different. I would use tompkins, fahy of kildare to cork more accurately of this situation. That was wrong then and this is wrong now imo. As I said it is just my opinion I mean no disrespect to any team or supporters this is something that I have been trying to stamp out at both clubs I have been secretary of and I feel that this just leaves my position a whole lot harder. But good luck to the man and to kildare for sunday and indeed the remainder of the year. I think I have said enough on this topic to last me a life time and when I made my first post on this the last thing I expected was to be labeled a man. But that's the wonderful world of gaa. Now I'm off to buy easter eggs. See yous in croker soon

I was looking back over my recent posts and I want to offer a sincere apology to people of kildare. I got riled up over a couple of idiots childish comments and reacted very badly. I have said before and I will say it again I am not biased against kildare people at all. And my comments towards them was out of line. And I am very sorry for that. I was been accused of something I have not done and totally over reacted. I also want to add apologies to jinxie, joebloggs , theroad, who I dragged into this.
For what its worth I should have left well enough alone.
Anyway just to say kelf on the point about peter moore he was a ballinabrackey man same as chris oconnor and damian carroll from current squad. People from there often gets mixed up with offally, westmeath, and even kildare as it borders all 3. That's it.

Appreciate that clondalkin. But fair is fair I made generalized sweeping remarks that was out of line. And what's more because of that a half dub half meath lady was brought into it too through no fault of her own. and I took took the bait instead of just laughing it off. Anyway I'm sure you and I will have the banter soon again clondalkin.

Sashman. I can guarantee you. If we were to win some silverware this year..the first thought going through my mind after the 70 mins certaintly wont be oh f*** we won silverware when Seanie was on the team. Of course its not. Anyone that tells you it would be is full of *****. Its going to be sheer joy and excitment and a reward for all the work of the past few seasons and I wouldnt give a damn what anyone else thinks if we were to win silverware and he was on the team. I wouldnt take a blinds notice of the begrudgers. I would celebrate the Kildare teams effort and achievement and in my eyes SJ is not going to take away that moment from them or us.

I've heard from a very reliable source Last night that this transfer is not going to happen now.

Your reliable sources have proven to be distinctly unreliable in the past.

Give me an example please? No I'm deadly serious here, Cavan players met last week and they decided they want johnston in there team so they needed to get rid of Andrews. Cavan County Board are going to block the move now.

Not having a go but you made a comment that you'd heard from a source ( think it was a Sarsfields selector ) that Dermot Earley would never play for Kildare again. A mere two weeks later he was playing for Kildare. Hope your right with this one.

That's what he told me. I was walking down to the pitch and he was walking in with the bottles I think and I asked him how Earley was and he said he doesn't think he will ever play for Kildare again. That's the truth why would I make it up? I would love to see Earley back after all he's gone tru and it's great he is back.

I'm not saying you made it up. Just that your information source was wrong.

clondalkindub is right. According to the independent today Cavan Gaels are now going to object to S Johnston's transfer.

I'm not making it up. That move is not going to happen now I guarantee you. Sure how could he transfer now? The guy who would not let him play for Cavan is gone.

Well it would be most peculiar if the door was re-opened in Cavan for SJ and he still chose to transfer to Kildare, would smack of a little bit of glory hunting don't you think? Anyway, I'm sure he'll settle for his native county now that the obstacles have been removed!
