Yep.Not 70k,but 46k.Good crowd, but the creator of this thread will have to now admit that the rugby was the biggest game in town after all (followed probably by the Man Utd/Chelsea game). TheRoad (Galway) - Posts: 1339 - 05/02/2012 19:47:54 1106040 Link 0 |

I know it is early season but last night was a fair indication of the gap between these two teams and Kerry must still be kicking themselves over the All Ireland. For some divine reason Dublin's name was on SAM last year and well done to them BUT they probably know themselves they aren't the best team in the country; they won't win SAM again this year. Kerry are a far better side than Dublin, they look very strong while Cork, Tyrone, Galway and maybe Mayo will be pushing and there could be some great games in store. I hope it's the training that they're doing but they went home at half-time, Kerry should've won by 10 at least, God help us when they sharpen up! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8821 - 05/02/2012 21:24:01 1106176 Link 0 |

An enjoyable night out! Nice little Kick about for the All Ireland champions to help shake off the cobwebs! Kerry and Tyrone were derserved winners on the night without question! PJ (None) - Posts: 2288 - 05/02/2012 21:39:22 1106192 Link 0 |

I was actually quite impressed by Kildare, but the glaring lack of class up front is still there, Tyrone never lost that part of their game. Still, Kildare look like overshadowing the Dubs this year for the first time in yonks! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8821 - 05/02/2012 21:54:58 1106214 Link 0 |

I bitch and whine about Tyrone now and again but have to say they were impressive last night. Good mix of talented youth and quality older heads. They'll take a bit of stopping. derfil1 (Kildare) - Posts: 1612 - 05/02/2012 21:59:50 1106222 Link 0 |

Ulsterman, I never heard such a load of TRIPE....Dublin are desrved winners of their All Ireland....not just on their performances in 2011 but theyve been knockn at the door and pipped in Semis for the last how many years....If Kerry were that good they wouldent have surrendered their 4 or 5 point lead in the dying minutes of the game...Ye know very little about football to come out with the statement youve made.......Cmon the Dubs!!!!! Howdy dubbydave, I'm basing my assumption on the way both Dublin and Kildare play their football. Its "Tyrone" like and requires super-human effort. The secret ingredient for it to work is desire and human nature being what it is, its almost impossible to match back to back as victory has already been tasted. Look at the great Tyrone side of the last decade, even they could'nt do it and in my opinion they where a better team than the present Dublin side. I hope I'm wrong and would glady eat humble pie, it would be the tastiest pie ever! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8821 - 06/02/2012 09:58:07 1106266 Link 0 |
