1104958 Hopefully we get 50,000, can I just also say best of luck to Craig Dias, it's a historic night for him and his family and ireland,no doubt the start of many people from other races playing for all the counties of Ireland, which I think will be great for our country. Again all the best young Dias.

Should be a fairly big crowd alright, lots and lots of kids going, I think they expect 50K, it should be a great atmosphere, I just hope the weather stays OK for what should be great night.

really looking foward to it, missed the 125 years night so hopefully this will make up for it. It's a good opportunity for Tyrone supporters to see how we are coming along, Kildare are a quality side, then the top 2 teams in the country playing after with both fielding strong teams!!

Can't wait for an evening of Irish entertainment..... Tir Eoghain Abu!!

I think the atmosphere in Croker on Saturday will be fantastic. I would go if we weren't playing at the same time but I'm sure the atmospher and entertainment in Pairc Esler will be just as good. Whether the crowd in Croke Park is bigger than that at the Rugby on Sunday is really not an issue. I'm going to the Rugby and am sure it will also be a great experience.

The big indicators this weekend of how strong the GAA is will be:

1. What will the combined attendence at all NFL games be? Can we get 150K

2. What proportion of the Dublin fans who were attracted back into attending GAA games by last years final apperance will carry that enthusiasm into attending this years games?

3. The total number of people who pay their membership to their local GAA Club before March.

1104941 40,000 for a league match is fantastic

It's actually 2 matches in fairness. taking the cost of opening croke park, and the attendences if the two games were held at other venues, is it anything more than a PR exercise for Croke Park

Nice sentiments.

I have a memory of Joey Cunningham who played in the late 80s for Armagh? Can any of the Armagh posters remember him?

the irish rugby team is playing one of only two real matches they have in the whole year at home 3 max depending on the draw so if you cant get 50 thousand for both of them matches their would be something seriously wrong.

as for tomorrow night lower cusack sold out lower hogan only handfull tickets left canal end more then half sold out on lower and i think section a and b on the hill will be open so i would expect between 45-50 thousand depending on the walk up crowd

Greenfields I know Joey well. he co-managed Cross Rangers with Olly Short for a while and his son is Aaron Cunningham who plays for Cross Rangers. Both father and son are great footballers.

Clondalkin, jinxypoop,Im not sure if the kid Dias would appreciate people making a big deal of him playing. Maybe he would. Just let him get on with the game, and judge him by his performances.

Fair play to the gaa big wigs and dublin especially for pushing this sort of thing through. If we were to believe the likes of some people the gaa can do no right and are light years behind the rugby. However, here we are expecting 40-50k for the start of the gaa's secondary competition and great night's craic expected. So credit were credit's due to the gaa!

Oh and come on tyrone!

Considering the weather, 46k is a pretty decent attendance. Kerry won easily in the end, definitely fancy them for the league even after this early stage. Good win for Down tonight also, very disciplined tight defending for a change, proved the winning of the game for us.

Great second half display by Tyrone, was at the game,
they found it difficult to handle kildare's questionable
tackling initially, but were able to teach them a lesson
in football over muscle in the second half. Up Tyrone.
