By the way bannerman, the Ulster Rugby jersey is good example of what you're saying too - they're sponsored by Bank of Ireland on the front, Vodafone on the sleeves & the Belfast Telegraph on the lower back. Plus it usually has the Rabo/Heineken logo on the shorts too when they're playing those competitions and what harm is it doing? - None, as a matter of fact the strip is designed in such a way that it looks with all those logos in my opinion

And theyre rugby jerseys with not that much sponsorship on them.

Indeed. Munster & Leinster being the obvious examples with only Toyota & BOI sponsoring them respectively. It just goes to show that a jersey can be designed fashionably & effectively with multiple sponsors or singular ones. (Although I really wish they'd re-design our own GAA jersey!!)

You're building my curiosity about this 8 year old Treviso shirt you've got now, may I humbly ask if you can find an image of it online, can you post a link?

I got it in a sports shop in venice, when on holiday in venice. If i remember il take a pic of it at the weekend and post it up. wont be home until then

if you have one sponsor for the front and another for the back.. will the businesses be willing to pay as much money as they would if they were sole sponsors. personally speaking if my business was associated with the county team as main sponsors and then suddenly another sponsor was appearing on the jerseys in addition to mine, I would be re-negotiating the deal

what Horsebox77 said was the sponsor on the front pays 60% of the total sponsorship while the sponsor on the back of the jersey pays 40% of the total sponsorship. Thats the idea as the front of the jersey will get more coverage.

No I met the two owners at the same time and put to both of them what my plan was that this day in age I was unconfortable putting one business under pressure or feel obliged to put their hands in their pockets again. the bigger of the two said 60/40 split one name on the front one name on the back, all 3 of us shook hands and agreed and we moved on from there.

Did ur club follow up on your suggestion by putting your proposal to Kerry Convention ???????????????????????????????????????????

That is my next port of call, I just wanted to "put it out there" to get what the feeling was on the topic but I see from the posts that all are in agreement that this issue should be addressed.

Woah, woah, woah - I appreciate the effort man but I certainly didn't mean for you to go to that much trouble, I was just curious that's all.
