Diarmuid Connolly escapes sanction

i still personally think alot of people is taking this incident way out of context as i said earlier on in previous post if it was intentionally then so be it he should have been giving some sort of punishment for there is no place in the game for this sort of conduct however in saying that there is alot of very different angles on this challenge and i still think going on the video evidence its still to hard to call,as i keep saying i honestly believe he deserves the benefit of the doubt that it was a genuine accident from what i seen anyway his track record will tell alot of tales too he is not known for dirty challenges or tackles in fairness he can be hot headed but there is no bad intentions in the guy imo anyway,i know im going to get some ear bashing now but i still believe that the evidence shown is still to hard to make the call to say it was intentionally or accidental..............

Genuine accident dubby? You would do North Korea proud with your 'loyalty'. Connolly took a hit from the Kildare player, got up and then dropped his knee on the fella's head. It was deliberate and dangerous but once again Dublin are let off the hook because it is Dublin. The reaction has been in total contrast to Derrytresk which proves the point that there is a lot of hostility, indeed hatred, in the South towards Ulster and the North.

Very true man. Well said.

I heard the supporters who jumped the wall in Portlaoise weren't from Derrytresk at all. It was Diarmo and a few of the Marino boys causes trouble as always!

Shameful!

Don't think there have been too many Radio/TV programmes or press stories in the North venting hatred towards Dromid or people from the South. In contrast......well take your pick from EVERY vestige of the Southern media and so called GAA people. Take it down from the mast!

And his tackle would've been completely acceptable for Ulsterman.

Don't worry my counrty friends, I fear Diarmuid will do one of you a very big favour at some stage in the championship, if he persists with his "loose" play.
