you post it up as if it's a talking point - it isn't really. It's what I, for one, have come to expect from the GAA aqnd it saddens me.

I know there always a lot of bulls**t on here about how the Dubs always get their way but in this case there's no denying it's one rule for Dublin and another rule for the rest. Do you think if that was someone like Tomás O'Sé or Galvin they would get away with? I doubt it.

a disgraceful decision - should have been suspended to the max.

I thought justice was done when he got off the hook v Donegal, cos there was nothing in it but i HATE the way he knees a lad in the back of the head when the player is defenseless on the ground and gets away with it and Galvin got absolutely done for sticking a stray finger in an opposing player's mouth for a split second.

Always thought the GAA was an organisation that turned a blind eye to all for the good of the game and letting players play (if you know what I mean), since heat of the moment stuff is a fact of life - now I believe there to be a very malicious intent within the organisation that displays massive and obvious favoritism

Samestuff, Dublin get away with it. If it was Kerry or Tyrone player it would be suspension.

This is not a surprise, different rules for different folk!
Where is the media circus regarding this issue?!

I was hoping that the GAA might leave 2011 behind and see fit to treat all counties equally for 2012. Alas its not to be.

I spend an awful lot of time standing up for the GAA with my soccer and rugby mates and then they turn around and come to a decision like this. Its just mind boggling.

No. Why would he?

I'm surprised, I actually thought that they would come down really heavily on him in January, so that they could appear balanced when they go easy on him when it happens again in the Championship.
It seems that the CC's are openly courting the Dubs. They should get a room.

Terrible decision. If Derrytresk get sanctioned now itll be the first time in my life I would give credence to those saying there is an anti northern agenda in the Gaa.

Connolly should have been suspended.

He got away with it because the GAA disciplinary procedures are ridiculous and full of loop holes.

Not because he's from Dublin.

Dromid will get punished too TheRoad because they deserve it as much as Derrytresk. The more things change, the more they stay the same with the CCCC.

Agreed, and everyone and I mean everyone drives a bus through the rules to suit themselves. Everyone defends their man, their team, cut em all loose we actually don't need these players we really don't.

I am bmullins, because while the images at the JFC match were far worse than what happened at the OByrne cup game,as there were lots of people invoved,Connollys "tackle" on the Kildare man was, even taken on its own merits,as potentially dangerous as anything that happened at the JFC game.It just didnt look as bad as it was only between two men and it didnt result in a brawl.

@theroad I agree it was a terrible thing to do to another player I don't like to see another player put a knee into someone who is on the ground and I think he should've got a 2 match ban but I don't think ya can compare the 2 incidents

the CCCC seriously bugs me with their lack of consistency and could even be accused of favouritism or discrimination, the GAA preaches dignity, respect and equality for all those on or off the field, how a department actually involved in the organisation can actually go against the very code of conduct really really results in its players, committee members, fans and all associated with the game become seriously disillusioned. I'm sorry but the CCCC is highly hypercritical. If it was Paul Galvin or Tomas Sé they'd have prob got Jail!!!!
