As soon as Dromid had a video the boys from the North said it was fake yet when they bring out one picture it has to be real despite the fact the position of his arm seems anatomically impossible.

Strange too when someone from outside of Ulster watched the video of the game and said Derrytresk were more at falt they were told they were wrong by people from Ulster i wonder why that is?

spun the debacle into something ridiculous! Two teams were involved
in that melee, Dromid need to come out now and take responsibliity
for their part, they will be the laughing stock of the country otherwise,

Now Paul Kerrigan has his 2 game ban withdrawen against an Ulster side??? There is now a two tier Association with Northern Gaels suffering the brunt of Free State bias, bitterness and vindictiveness within the media and GAA; it would appear that there are those who want Ulster sides out of the GAA at all costs.

I've noticed a definite thread through the media and posts of "sure that's the northern teams for you...". You only have to listen to the opera of whinging and misery that is the Joe Duffy on Liveline to see the agenda being forced on southern listeners. (An example would be during the 125 year JD talking down the guy form the ulster council three times as he tried to talk about the outreach programme to the protestant/unionist community.) But I digress.
A quick look at the magical interweb will reveal many many videos of brawls in the gaa - both in football and in hurling, and from all four corners of the country - most of which are much more serious than that which was on display in portlaoise. Incidently a viewing of the violence at a Laois senor hurling championship will very quickly put this all into perspective.
At the monaghan Junior final i witnessed a 15+ man brawl which resulted in two dismissals one form each team (and I'm pretty sure that they were both the wrong men to get the line). the victors of that match played Derrytresk in the Ulster final. I would suggest that all this talk of this being a Tyrone, northern or Ulster problem is merely a measure of tyrone and ulster success given that the outcry only occurred due to the presence of national media at the match. I agree with several of the previous posters that fixed penalties need to be outlined and rigorously applied in all matches from a Junior D league match somewhere to Croke Park in September. Bans should be for individuals, and for a fixed time or minimum number of matches. Derrytresk were out of order, however so were Dromid. Any one player who threw a punch should be suspended.

Hard luck on Kerry last night. It is not fair that you had to contend with an 'overly agressive Armagh side who would not let you play football and also being offered no protection from the ref. He was completely blinkered when he red-carded Tomas O'Se 'after Thomas's knees seemed to connect with an opponent's ribs'. Did he not realise that the ground conditions were very slippery last night. Thank god for the CCCC . They willl no doubt take into account how he was being belted all over the place and right this great injustice.

I was a bit concerned to hear that there was some trouble in the stands after the 'Thomas' sending off but I was greatly relieved to subsequently hear that it 'just looked like two fellas having a few words'.

I was suprised to see Declan being picked on again and given a yellow card.

moomoo i just read your first post and it says that he the dromid player hit the derrytresk player with a shoulder. While that is true he hit him with the shoulder after the ref had blown his whistle to stop the game and he hit him with the shoulder in the chest. Hardly very sporting is it?

My God......Sparrowhawk.... a typical example of Thronies begrudgery, great night for all Armagh folk in Tralee, at least we do travel, and don't eat sandwiches and drink tea out of the "BOOT", as we in Armagh describe you lot as the "BOOT CAFFEES" lol.
Great to see Declan O Sullivan on the field of play again, and as for our over aggressive team, .....a team of mostly U/21's and none of the gallant men from Crossmaglen present, wind your neck in, and go and watch the Treskies aggression in Croke Park against Clonbur.

I accept that the pitch invasion was wrong lad. The fact that Dromid continue to deny
their part and take responsibility for their actions that day, as well as the media frenzy
they have fuelled irks us! Never before has such a minor incident gotten such publicity,
and it was a minor incident, these incidents happen all over the country. This does not
make it ok, but let's highlight all the cases of pitch invasions, instead of those which
involving Tyrone clubs. ! Violence in the GAA needs to be stamped out everywhere!
This thread has had a stench of hypocrisy about it from the first day.
