Photo-shopping?! moomoo and theroad, catch yourselves on lads! TheGateKeeper (Tyrone) - Posts: 2843 - 10/02/2012 18:04:52 1109271 Link 0 |
Thegatekeeper and tyronetim,I have never said anything about photoshopping.I dont know why youre accusing me of saying that.If there is a picture of o Sullivan lashing out at a Derrytresk player then it looks bad for him,and i never said that any such picture was doctored, but I will say that I wouldnt be surprised O Sullivan was goaded into his actions. Well said redd, theroad's 'neutral' opinion is questionable at best! TheGateKeeper (Tyrone) - Posts: 2843 - 10/02/2012 19:07:49 1109299 Link 0 |
Well we have watched O Sullivan since 2003 and he isnt really that type of player Redd is he?Ive never seen him get into any trouble anyway, and i would be very surprised if he got into a fight for nothing.Thats not me being anti derrytresk, its just that as i said, weve been watching him since 2003 and he has a good record discipline wise, but in any event my original point is the same.Ive never said anything about the photo in question. This was a disgusting showtrial designed to appease the anti Northern brigade in the Southern media and in the GAA especially Kerry. When one considers some of the violent stuff that has gone on in other parts of the island recently and Derrytresk's good record a 5 year ban is loaded with bias, vengence and obviously designed to stick one on Ulster. Of course Derrytresk deserved some punishment for the subs coming on but Dromid walked away laughing at getting off virtually scot free. The Ulster Council must now address the deep anger and resentment amongst many Ulster Gaels at what is happening in the GAA presently and recognise that a two tiered Association now operates. Derrytresk should have told Croke Park to stick their club competition and walked away while the other Ulster teams should withdraw from their semi-finals in protest at the hypocrisy and double standards against Ulster teams. I also believe that major public GAA figures within Tyrone and Ulster should speak out at this travesty. The picture of Declan O'Sullivan shows that he was as deeply involved as anyone in the melee while many other Dromid players ran in to get involved YET they get NO ban. Only last week ANOTHER Dublin player got off with no punishment after obviously kneeing a Kildare player in the head. We were treated like second class citizens in the North by the Brits and Loyalists for decades; we are certainly not going to start letting a few partitionists in the GAA and Dublin media do it either; ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Ulsterman,i actually agree with you this has been blown out of proportion and is ridiculous,i am a proud kerryman and the gaa is a manly game, sanctions were required but my god the whinging from dromid at this stage is embarrassing. mlcollins (Kerry) - Posts: 440 - 10/02/2012 19:23:42 1109307 Link 0 |

Thegatekeeper, you still havent explained the whole photo shopping thing. When did i say anything about the photo? TheRoad (Galway) - Posts: 1339 - 10/02/2012 20:25:24 1109338 Link 0 |
Steady on ulsterman. Why in the name of all that is holy should Cross pull out of the club championship ? Cross are a club that a lot of other clubs in ulster should strive to emulate; classy, committed, tough but fair. I hope they continue to do Ulster proud this season, so no more talk about boycotting, please. artisan (Down) - Posts: 1794 - 10/02/2012 20:38:24 1109345 Link 0 |

Well youve admitted you were wrong so fair enough, thats all you can do.I would not use the words "bile" to describe my posts on this topic.I merely pointed out tyrone clubs have a bad record when it comes to discipline.i know it happens all over the country (my county certainly has had its moments) but alot of ulster people from outside Tyrone have said the same thing,so its not really anti Northern.
