Heres how i know it works. Wont name the Counties involved but its a club manager.

Manager from County A. Manager in County B. Works in County C.

Gets 50c a mile from A -B return which is 190 mile so thats 95 euro a night 3/4 nites a week plus weekend and meals.

Also has a petrol card for his car which he can use freely so the millage expenses are clear profit.

On top of that he has the use of an appartment as the County he manages in is in between where he is from and where he works in his job.

Dont know how club are financing it but the whole package must be costing the club a grand a week.

I would have though any Manager already getting paid would be against this. Once it's above board he'll lose half it in tax.

Micky Harte was asked about it after the Fermanagh match and he quickly avoided the question saying that managers are interested in managing not answering questions that should be directed at the GAA administrators. Not like Micky to have no opinion on a matter, very convenient!

Looks like this turn into biggest row since opening croke,say today civil war predicted!!bit extreme.How does gaa management split on this,heard they are split down the middle,think we need to know which side they are on,can anyone help! Duffy clearly wants to pay them and Cooney doesn`t. I saw where our province chairman, A Farrell from cavan is against paying. Heard new president LO Neill also against paying.Don`t know what the other suits think,anone know!
