Kerry like them or not must be highly respected they deserve it when i started losing respect for them was the tyrone games spillane a hero of mine since childhood no matter what you think of him is one of the greatest of all time started puke football southern media picked up on this and then tyrone were destroying the game suddenly. This was untrue they scored heavily broke at speed had probably a better team than kerrys 70,s bunch.Yet if you met kerry people around the country they held them in contemp.Kerry are a fine county who have gave us the finest i would question from here on in will their sams be got as handy as the past
kerry are nice ball players but that day is gone dublins win this year was lucky enough to be fair but on merit they had kerry ground down and kerry yet again were found wanting. If the physical end of the game keeps like this kerry will not win as much as years gone bye.Other counties stand up and be counted gilroy and his dublin team showewd that a very very poor team some defenders now attackers with will can take the kingdom down.Team of the decade beating cork or mayo i think not.

The lad from Tyrone is spot on,we all want our counties to be as successful as Kerry.G.A.A is fueled by jealousy. For example(even before 2010) Louth
have a serious problem with the successw of Meath(compared to their own county),but why don't Meath have a problem with Louth?..

I have nothing against the Meath team. I give credit where credit is due. I admire Sean Boylan for what he did with the Meath team and he is one of the best Managers of all time. Its some Meath fans that I just cant stand. Arrogant and cocky.

I love Kerry, they are my third favourite team after Galway and Kildare this year.

Ollie

I do find alot of Louth lads like that,Meath fans arrogant and cocky? Maybe I cannot say(I wouldn't say that about myself),but I find Dublin fans to be arrogant and cocky..

I'd feel Ollie is fairly accurate there alright, a lot of Meath fans would come across as arrogant and I've noticed this over the years myself from going to matches. However, where there's success there'll be arrogance. Could you say that no Kerry supporter is arrogant..? And well as for the dubs.. I won't say much more.

My only gripe with kerry is the disrespect they show their opponent!

In the pre match build up interviews shown just before the AI Final the Gooch didnt once say the word 'Dublin'!!!....just shows how much he dismissed the opposition and reckoned it was as sure as night turns into day that he would be lifting Sam a few days later!!

......we all know the ending!!

I only hope that the next time kerry meet their opponent in a final that they have learned a bit of humility and respect!.....otherwise the cumuppance dished up again will be made all the more sweet!

In other words: 'Lose the disrespect for the opponent and you will lose the tag of getting yer 'cumuppance'!!

A lot of respect for Kerry teams keep changing and keep winning All Irelands , people may say 36 is enough why can't they be happy with their lot? Because there Kerry !. and to all the begrudges out there , there is only one solution try to emulate them instead of knocking them .

Its good when people hate you, it usually means they're jealous, how could you have anything else for Kerry, other than admiration or(and) jealousy!

Opinion of kerry went up in they way they handled themselves after the allireland final and how they congratulated the dubs, shows a sign of class. snuff gracious and showing respect after the match has ended is more important, which kerry showed in abundance.

Kerry are the standard bearers and always will be; the bar for the rest to reach. They threw last year's All Ireland away, they were the far better team for 65 mins but once again this Kerry team's mental toughness has to be questioned. When the pressure was on they buckled as they did against Tyrone on 3 occasions and that's why this particular Kerry team can never be deemed great. However they play some superb football and Cooper is one of the best there has been.

It does have to be said that this kerry team has never won a real battle in an AI final.Thge 04,06 and 07 victories were glorified walkovers while the victory in 2009 was also very straightforward,as in the final Cork were a shadow of the team that wore Tyrone down to a pulp in the semi final.

Last year aside, we have been quite competitive with Kerry in the modern day. It's cruel to dominate them, and know that that Kerry swagger can kick in in an instant and they can just bowl you over with sublime football. You have to hate them BECAUSE they are that good. Yet a true GAA follower can see past the blind hatred you have for a team after the 70 minutes are over and respect them for the fantastic sportsmen that they are. Saying that, any time Kerry are against an underdog, I will follow the underdog to the ends of the earth, except Dublin & Mayo for whatever reasons, perhaps I was bitten by a dog there one or twice and it's now subconscious! As long as the Kingdom retain that mystique and fantastic ability at playing the game, everybody else can only strive to improve and make the game better as a whole.

I like the Kerry style of football but having said that I would like them not to win an All Ireland for the next 20 yrs. I have nothing against them but I feel they cannot really appreciate the struggle other counties must go through to win an All Ireland, It just seems to be too easy. I hear some Kerry people say how its such a pity Kerry didn't win when the Gooch was captain. My god most counties would be happy to win one. I was particularly happy for Dublin last year because like ourselves they have come up short often but keep coming back.
