There were enough Mayo ones on here in previous years blowing about well they were going to do. The likes of yourself and Paddyogall should concentrate on Mayo. Still, it makes a change for a Mayoman to be going over the top about someone other than Mayo.

I never said anything about Galway sure. All I said was that this bulls**t that Mayo supporters are always going round saying we'll win Sam is nonsense. Either throw out out some quotes or don't bring it up.

paddyogall, Thats funny, I live in Galway and I've been talking to alot of people here over Christmas about our chances in this years championship. Not one person said we would even get to an All Ireland Final. The majority of people in this county want to see us blood new players this year, silverware isn't a big deal but promotion would be a bonus.

We are optimistic, but not stupid.

paddyogall wants us all to say MAYO4SAM 2012 like Mayo people have said for 61 years now since they last won an AI. Are you happy now paddy?!

I'd agree with PaddyOGall that Galway are good value at 11/4 to win the Connacht title. I'd be surprised if any team other than Mayo bate Galway in the 2012 Connacht championship, so you're basically getting Galway at 11/4 to beat Mayo in a Connacht Final in Salthill. I'd take a bit of that, and you could always lay it off later, if Mayo find a few decent players between now & July. Outsiders don't win Sam generally, so a 25/1 shot is a nonsence bet imo.

I was drinking in charlestown and ballina over the Xmas with football the main topic of discussion and they told me that they expect to win the all Ireland this year and next year and the year after that etc etc these are football wise people and were never wrong before. This is the year. Not sure if they meant ladies football though there was a lot of drink on board.

Galway lads don't rise to the bait. We are used to this jealousy it has been in existence since our near neighbours first kicked a ball and will continue until they can win an all Ireland which won't be anytime soon. I genuinely hope mayo win an all Ireland I like most galway people feel sorry for their supporters.

Ya I'm sure every word you typed was 100% the truth. Look stop making up crap lads, copy and paste actual quotes of Mayo people on HS saying we are going to win the All-Ireland or shut the hell up. This bulls**t that Mayo supporters are arrogant is a complete myth and is only fueled by people from Galway or Meath etc. who don't like us.

Anyone blowing up Galway this year, i have one word for ye - STOP. as your man from Kildare said, we've won 1 game outside Connacht since, '01 and that was against Louth, who, no disrespect, arent really a GAA powerhouse. if we did win a game outside Connacht this year, be it a league game, a 1st round qualifier game or the AI Final, i would see it as progress because the fact is, after the year we had last year, we can't go much lower (maybe a loss to the big apple would be a sign we've hit rock bottom ;) anyways, we beat Sligo IT last night with a very, very dodgy team so we've made a good start to the year considering the circumstances. as always, i will support them with every ounce of energy in me and i hope we do well, but the fact is unless we get a good team back, including the likes of Armstrong, Meehan, Flynn, Blake, Cullinane, Coleman, the 2 joyces, Forde and Boyle, we will do well to get past Ros in Connacht.

One word TRADITION.
Personally i dont think that there is any one outstanding team in the chsip,so why not?if Galway managed to get into an ALL Ireland
Quater final, and got a nice draw eg Derry,Armagh,Wexford, the old Galway strut would come backand they would take stopping.
thats the difference between Galway and Mayo belief and a tradition of popping up and wiining the odd all ireland with no fuss every 20 years or so,there like Meath or Dublin or Cork.Teams like these can come along and win all irelands cause they believe they have aright to them,of course huge populations help this too,but tradition is the thing, thus above countys mentioned occupy, behind Kerry places 2nd,3rd,and joint 4th in all ireland senior football honours.

With all due respect you are far from right. What ever about Mayo, Roscommon are a spent force. No way will they do anything this year. I am beig serious about Galway. They will breeze through Connacht and will be a serious outfit. They always had the players, all they needed was a good home grown manager which they have

A SPENT FORCE!!!!! AI minor in 06, AI minor semi last year. Consistently making progress since 2009, St Brigids by far the most consistent and best club side in the province. You have not got a clue. Roscommon will be more than a match for Galway and it will be in the Hyde. Listening to this crap I hope we beat Galway well so I can rub it in your face.

Not a chance, was at their game with us(MEATH) and we went in 4 points up at halftime and we didnt score for 31 minutes of the 2nd half and we still bet them..that speaks for itself!!

i dont mind playing donegal in the final but i just think people would put it down as a soft all ireland when mayo beat donegal in the final. thats why i would perfer the dubs- not that they are any better than donegal but its better fun dishing out a beating to the teachers pets
