However it is likely Down wont play Donegal in this years Ulster as we will have disposed of them at that stage, you could play them in the back door!

But we play them in the first round of the National League.

I agree with cacs, I think we're going to see a more adventurous Donegal this year, at least upfront

Whether other managers have clued in to their tactics and will be ready for them is another matter

I reiterate that I think this will be one of the most open Ulster championships in years. I'm looking forward to it to be honest

Ulster will be its usual self very hard to pick a winner, but down in there half of draw will really fancy there chances of getting to the final and will be a big shock if they don,t. The other half well thats a different story i fancy derry myself but minefield is a understatement.

CACS

yea agree about Donegal ! Think we wil be more offensive this year. I dont think we'll see any proper attacking until championship though. I think Jim will use the league for some more experimenting. lets face it, we wont win the league. whatever hope we had is gone now that McFadden is out for 2 games and Murphy out for at least 3. however come championship I'd say we'll see some more attacking

Well 2012 is here
Pete is at the helm - quarterly report!!!!
All players are back on the wagon
4 games in league - 4 wins
Respectable Mckenna cup campaign
Highest score difference in the league (fair enough its Div 4)

Momentum is building - promotion has to be the priority but who is going to want to meet a Fermanagh team that have made a habit of winning in the league?
Dark horses for an Ulster final & anything could happen there.?

Ah high.catch would you get away out of it. They will get promoted but they will not win Ulster (as much as i would love to see it)

Agree with you got milk
The point i'm trying to make is who will want to meet them

There will be more pressure on down in ekn than fermanagh
wee james won't be relishing it

no pressure on fermanagh - after a good league anything else is a bonus
maybe just maybe the shackles will be thrown off and there is a big year left in the senior players on this squad - why else would they all have committed again after last year!

If down play against fermanagh like they played against Dublin down will win easy just a simple fact

was only referring to the game against fermanagh nothing else , just think there is a wee bit much build up for fermanagh and people are loosing sight that they play football in div 4 at the minute and no disrespect but a good minor team would beat kilkenny. But believe me Tyrone will not be far away in ulster

That would be some story mind you, and who could possibly begrudge them an Ulster.

Some people must fancy them beacuse as of this morning there are sitting at 17/1 on Paddy P, though I had seen them a few weeks back at a lot longer odds than that!
