1071576 Don't normally respond to Dhorse's ignorant and nasty comments, but that one really crosses a line. You obviously didn't watch the show.

Your mastery of the obvious is out of order seamas, I did watch the programme. Thanks for prompt reply. Less of the name calling, not that i mind it, but it's rather juvenile.

Dublin is very much an Anglicised, Church of Ireland city and many of it's residents act in and live a British way of life. The D4's are just a horrible awful crowd styling themselves on Notting Hill with with their phoney Yar Yar accents while the so called working class inner cities are full of Man Ooo/Liverpool/Arsenal tops; British tabloids and SKY TV. Then walk around Dublin virtually EVERY tourist place is British and Protestant; Phoenix Park with it's Duke of Wellington memorial, Trinity College founded by Elizabeth I, Dublin Castle seat of British rule, Anglican Christchurch and St. Patrick's, Bank of Ireland, Guinness. Then the Pale is dominated by English and French descendants so is it any wonder guys like O'Doherty exist?

The kings hall,Queens university,The royal courts of justice,Harland and wolfe,Albert clock,Great victoria street,Windsor house ,The royal victoria hospital
Now ulsterman tell me which is the most anglicised city......cop on lad

You are some craic dhorse.Your posts usually consist of you copying and pasting somebody else's post, followed by a silly quip such as "hug a bunny" or something similar. You don't really contribute anything solid,so don't complain when you get your knuckles rapped for it.Patiently waiting "my reply',followed by your own 3 or 4 words.

So it seems that telling a few home truths about Ian O Doherty (OK, expressing my personal feelings about a so called journalist), suggesting that "True Gael" is a xenophobic term and winding Seamus up about the current infatuation the Irish people have with all things Labour is inappropriate content for HS. Perhaps I should try some more illiterate WUMming of Public Servants?

True Gael is a silly term Roundball, but it isn't xenophobic.

There isn't much that you could say about O'Doherty that I wouldn't agree with, that said on balance I find him to be an interesting enough guy. Came off terribly on the show though.

As for the Labour 'infatuation', tick tock, tick tock is all I can say. At the next general election, they will be DESTROYED. Higgins only won the race by default, after Bruton and Kelly turned down the chance to run, after Norris had been discredited and after Gallagher had been taken down. He was, at best, the 5th choice. Good luck to the old codger though, I wonder will he invite Daniel Ortega around at some stage?

Thanks again Seanie, you're some Craic yourself, out there all them years massacring bunny rabbits , and taking out flagpoles off community centres, all for the cause I know. Like a lot of people I copy and paste in order to keep on subject, an alien concept to you I know. As for contribution anything solid, I assume you mean constuctive, as in agreeing with your Nationalistic fascist view of the world, as opposed to something of a solid nature as in set concrete or cast iron. I sometimes envy your ability to waffle on repetitively while at the same time saying absolutely nothing of a sensical nature, in these circumstances I feel it would be unfriendly not to reply in a fitting manner, I feel anything more than 3 or 4 words would only serve to undermine your lack of coherence, we are all friends here after all. Even though your ally Seamas hurls, even though he has never said so I have a feeling he is a fine hurler, all sorts of banal and juvenile comments and remarks my way, you must realise that I hold him in the highest of esteem and feel in time we will become brothers in arms on the road to salvation.

I'm lost as to the "Knuckles Rapped" part of your response, perhaps you would be good enough to expand on it.

I'm sorry if you have been waithing for my reply, I'm trying to get the christmas lights sorted. If, at any time in the future something goes off in your head that needs teasing out don't hesitate to contact me, I will be offshore for a couple of months shortly, but I'm sure our buddy Seamas will be there for you if I cannot respond post haste

True Gael prevents Anglo-Irish and people of other backgrounds from identifying themselves as Irish. I don't know how the Northern "Gaels" hope to bring about a United Ireland while they perclude the planters from calling themselves Irish.

Demographics my dear Roundy, demographics. Check out RTE's website, there's a piece taken from an interview that Peter Robinson gave to the Times. He acknowledged that he might be the last Unionist First Minister. Have a read:

link

Was going to start a thread on this, as it's a very interesting subject. When Northern Ireland came into being, Fermanagh and Tyrone were the only majority Catholic counties, and there was only a narrow majority in both. Now, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry and Armagh all have Catholic majorities, and pretty substantial ones at that. Different birth rates is a factor, as is immigration by Poles, etc, and of course the number of Protestants who go to college in Britain and never come back.

A 2001 census recorded the Northern Irish population as 53.1% Protestant and 43.8% Catholic, with the 2011 census expected to show a narrowing of the gap.
The Times cited a recent national audit showing that when asked to state their religion, 54% of boys and 55% of girls described themselves as Catholic.
Figures out last month found that 49% of Northern Irish students at the province's universities were Catholics, while 35% were Protestants.

My assessment of this is that in a decade or two, Sinn Fein or a revitalised SDLP will be firmly in control, and there will be a Nationalist First Minister. But there still won't be a United Ireland, not for a number of decades, as Northern Catholics don't want to be part of a reunited economic basket case.

So its friends we are? Well thank you, thank you good sir. Now,the flag pole incident did untold good for morale,so yes it was a positive influence for the cause.
I am aware of the benefit copying and pasting has in relation to staying on topic, thats true but irrelevant.Your own contribution is minimalist and annoying, usually consisting of a few words at most and usually in the form of a rhetorical quip. This is fine in many ways, but not when its 99% of your contribution.Well at least not in the opinion of this neanderthal.
I am sure you are aware that Seamus and myself have agreements and disagreements depending on the topic, when it comes to you we seem to agree that you are a tool most of the time:)
I will not be commenting further on the "knuckles rapped" comment for you, except to say I'm sorry you are too thick to understand what I was saying with it.Seriously?
As for my political and social beliefs they are a mixed bag,and ever evolving so its hard to take criticism from a joker, with dangerously ahistorical views on most social issues facing us today.Just because I'm not pro abortion, pro gay marriage, an unfettered multi-culturalist, and a supporter of every other issue you super liberals are pushing, doesn't make me anything but right.

I will pray for you mo chara.
