Donegal need to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new plan to play some actual football next season

1066553 Kevin Cassidy was dropped because everyone hates Dubs, is that the point ye are making lads?

You're clever enough Breff... figure it out yeah...

1066546 Lads, thats because Dubs are the masters of all men and everyone hangs out of what we are getting up to!!......when ordinary counties do something 'controversial' nobody cares, but the slightest thing that the Dubs do is scrutinised by the nation!!

I'd say that we'd have a little more heat alright... seems fairly obvious

Tyrone need to go back to the drawing board i would say!!!! We need to adapt some more attacking presence to our game... Tir Conaill Abu correct, i think a serious amount of posters on here have never experienced playing competitively, no notion of whats really involved... I suppose dublin didn't target Lacey for a bit of special treatment, of course they did, and every management will pinpoint specific dangers in there opposition and nullify the threat, insofar as reasonably possible.. seriously lads, this thread is nonsense, he spoke out, out of panel now and will be back in again.... If not, we will just have to carry on.

Cassidy scored two of the best and motivational points of the year. Point on sideline against tyrone ulster Semi-final and a game they were completely out of until he gave them a lift goin in at half-time. The second against Kildare after missing one when possession seemed the sensible thing to do.

As much as i like Kevin as a player the "Just being honest "line doesn't cut it..I mean if we were all honest all the time ..well,... rows a plenty.
When the players signed their agreements thats were bound to its terms. the very thing that kept Donegal together and created the potent force they were is fractured.
Not one winning team can take the high moral ground on some of the more cynical aspects of the game.
Unfortunately when you berak the "Omerta" code ..you set your self and your team up forever.

Interseting though the team holiday to Florida..guess kevin's not going now. Think he earned it and Donegal unfortunately have never had any of the rewards that successful county players have had until this year and I belive it was quite a battle to get hotel stays etc...
Pity but understandable. Hopefully it is a cooling off for both parties and he will return after the NFL.

His own statement seemed fairly definitive. He says he won't be back due to "circumstances". What an unusual reason!

Well the statement from Cass is out...sad to read it he definetly ahs a lot more to give and Dun naGnall need him.
It does sound pretty final given the context of his family situation.

Both proud men no doubt embarrassed by the ferore...but

Can't understand this at all. Are Donegal that strong that they can drop a class player and current all star?
Mc guinness is ott and will not bring Donegal any further.
This talk about inner and outer circles is all very good, but when push comes to shove its the Kevin Cassidys of this world who get teams over the line in tight championship matches. Not wristbands or any other sh*te.
