Semi final draws have been made. Winner of Munster/Ulster will be at home to Toulose/Edinburgh. If Leinster beat Cardiff they're away to Saracens/Clermont. Whoever wins the Ulster/Munster match has a brilliant chance of making the final, Leinster will probably have to go to Clermont and win if they're to retain the HC

Whoever wins mun uls game will still more than likely have to play toulouse in a semi and playing toulouse anywhere is a very difficult game. Leinster will have it tough v the South african sarries and if they win an away gam v schmidts old team montferrand. If that is the way it ends up and clermont play leinster you have the potential for an all time heineken cup classic

Shame that Munster and Ulster were drawn together at this point but it does guarantee an Irish semi-finalist.

Thats the way the seedings fall. Hopefully it'll be played to a baying twomint crowd that helps munster drive on to victory

Oi, no need for that. There are three counties in Ulster that are in the republic, so no need for it. You may mean British but that is not fully right.

Hard luck to Ulster, could have converted a few of their try chances. Clermonts try should have been ruled out due to taking out a man off the ball. Anyway, maybe it is better we play Munster. If Ulster were at drawn at home they couldn't play at Ravenhill as quarter venues in the Heineken have to hold at least 15,000, which Ravenhill doesn't, so we'd be at the Aviva. No harm playing Munster, it'll be a great game.

Munster hold no fear for Ulster! granted a great result at Franklin Gardens yesterday but Ulsters mighty performance against Clermont proves the'll be no push overs come the 1/4s

What a win..........What a win what a win. In stroll Conor O'Sheas premiership tog guns into the lovely wild west, expecting not just to win, but to pick up the bonus point....Ah well, best laid plans. Didn't expect Jonny Muldoon, Andrew McCarthy, Big George to repel everything thrown there way, and then drive them twenty yards back did they!!!!

Superb performance and a little bit of proof that maybe we do belong in this type of company. We won one game, but considering the way we played home and away against Gloucester we really should have had 3 wins. But i'm not greedy!!!!! 1 is more than enough!!!! Everyone of those players is a absolute legend.....

Also fair play to Ulster, so close to great result in France. Munster will not have it all there own way in Thomond against them, but i do expect a Munster victory. Munster were outstanding in Milton Keynes. And to say it shocked Skys commentary team is an understatement. Super stuff from Munster. Good win for the boys in Blue aswell.

Second season running 3 Irish teams through, joined by Cardiff and Edinburgh. The Pro 12 can't be that bad after all then!!!!

Tribeinbrum, it is the first time that 3 Irish teams have made it through. Munster didn't make it last year. But it is great to see the 3 teams through.

Will this thread now pop up into other sports forum. I think you're making a big mistake here, non-gaa kept a lot of people interested during the quiet season.

No games for a few weeks with the 6 nations openign coupe of rounds so good time for a season recap
Munster: doing well in a transitional season, some new faces making statements of intent and some of the older players have to fight hard to get their starting positions back
Going OK but axel has plenty of work to do yet

Leinster: Best team in europe, very strong squad everywhere except 2nd row. Along with munster and toulouse are favourites for heineken. have done very well considring theyve missed BOD for so many games.

Ulster: Their southern hemisphere imports are having a big say on their season. with fewer players in the ireland squad than munster and many of their key players not playing in the 6 nations they can biuld themselves nicely towards the april showdown v munster

Connacht: finally have got a win after an incredibly poor and unlucky run of form. have shown glimpses of good play but are really struggling with such a small squad. Out of europe, can put a real marker for Heineken qualification during the 6 nations

Couple of interesting games this week. Leinster play treviso in the RDS thursday, ulster host the dragons friday night, connacht travel to cardiff friday night and munster travel to italy to play aironi on sunday. Will be good to see some games with the fringe players out and hopefully see plenty of irish wins especially for connacht who will be playing a severely depleted cardiff side
