Good win for Ulster, huge win for Rangers. Bit surprised by Connaugt. Goes to show though, just becuase a club feel they're making progress off the field, it's not always going to be reflected on it.

Rangers???? Who are you calling rangers?
Connacht are doing ok this season, they will struggle at times with such a small squad but with the improvement s off the field they hopefully can get some more income and attract some better quality players to go out west

Munster lose to the Ospreys thanks to the efforts of the most imcompetent ref in the league Peter Allen
How he refs to that standard, i dont know........

Munster are the Celtic of Irish rugby and Leinster are the Rangers.

If the ERC plans are for the H Cup are to go global, you'll be looking at the Munster Celtics taking on the Leinster Rangers in the Giants Stadium in New York, the Camp Nou in Barcelona. It's the way the game is going to go.

Ah come on Legend, Leinster are not that bad....

Another big weekend coming up with the Double headers. You'd safely say if Munster and Leinster do the double over Llanelli and Bath they would be safely through to the 1/4's. Leinster are flying at the moment and they have a decent record against Bath. Can see them beating them twice over the next two games. Munster will also be looking at the double, but i'd say would be more than happy with a losing bp away and then a win at home.

Ulster need to beat Aironi home and away with bonus points to stand a chance. They are more than capable of doing that though and could bring themselves right back into the group.

As for ourselves, well we need a morale boosting win of any type. We are on a wretched run and if we could get a win over Gloucester it would be great for us....Hopefully our season restarts this weekend and we get another big crowd into the Sportsground.......

After two dramatic drop-goal victories, Munster come up against a team above them in pool 1. It's has the makings of a tough game. Scarlets will be favourites but I'm hopeful Munster can pull off a win to put them in a strong position.

They are only above us by a point, these games decide the group
Scarlets play a great brand of rugby and have some excellent backs while our backplay is pretty poor. Without Dougie we have lost our best attacking back by a mile.
However Munster won't fear Scarlets at all. We've beaten them home and away in the league for the past 4 seasons. Ironically our last loss to them was the 2007 Heineken Cup quarter final.
this is a game that will have to be won by the forwards and our pack is much better than theirs. It will be a 1 score game

Great results for Munster Leinster and Ulster. Munster and Leinster have real strangleholds over there groups now and if they follow up there away wins with home wins next week will be planning for home quarter finals. Ulster kept themselves in the hunt but could really do with a bp win away from home next week to keep up there chances of a quarter final spot.

Bitterly, bitterly disappointed with our result. A game we really should have won. We had the chances but too many times basic errors cost us. I don't understand why, when time was up, when we had to keep the ball in hand to make progress Niall O'Connor launches the ball into the clouds. In my eyes it was a ridiculous play. We may not have won the game anyway but this was basically handing the ball to Gloucester who gratefully booted the ball out of play. Hopefully we are learning from this experience playing in Europes premier competition because it really has shown up a bit of naivity in our play, and maybe on the sideline too. But at least we got out first ever point in the H Cup.

from munsterrugby website
"Tony McGahan at media day in UL asked about John Hayes,"He will be finishing up in the next few weeks."
Sad to hear, been a great servant to the club and always stepped into the breach whenever asked. If rumours are to be believed, he's only helping out this year as Buckley has left and we'd no replacement. If this is the case, we've either found a replacement or Bull can't give any more. Shame if the latter. The ML Final last year would have been a great send off for him

G'wan Bull tis your field, best of luck in your retirement

Hopefully Leinster Munster and Ulster get the wins they need this weekend to keep their H Cup campaigns on track.

I'd say wins for Munster and Leinster and they can near enough plan the ticket situation for the home quarter final.

As for ourselves, well if we go to Gloucester and play like we did against Quins we could have a chance of an upset. Here's hoping we get an away win and our first H Cup victory. Go on the boys in Green!!!!

Munster 23 for Scarlets
D Hurley; J Murphy, K Earls, L Mafi, S Zebo; R O'Gara, C Murray;
W du Preez, D Varley, BJ Botha; D O'Callaghan, P O'Connell capt; D Leamy, N Ronan, J Coughlan;

Replacements: D Fogarty, M Horan, S Archer, D Ryan, T O'Donnell, T O'Leary, I Keatley, D Barnes.

Disapointted for D Ryan, dont know why Donncha O Callaghan deserves to be brought straight back into the starting team, Keet starting and at 13 is also a surprise. Dont like those 2 changes. Hopefully by 3 on sunday we are 4 wins from 4 and in a very good position at getting a home 1/4 in april

Ormond I think you'll have to give Niall Ronan his dues after his performances of late. I'll reserve judgment of Keatley at 13 til Sunday. O Mahony is a big loss.

I will, his performances of late have been the best of his career. He is on a good run at the moment and hopefully his performances continue to improve the next few weeks

Hard luck connacht, An excellent 75th-minute try from Gloucester's Jonny May helped the west country lads to a 23-19 win.
Big win for Leinster against Bath 52-27, devin toner impressing and really pushing for an irish squad place come the 6 nations.

Hopefully munster can win tomorrow

Missed us this afternoon, hopefully TG4 will enlighten me, but 4 wins from 4 is fantastic stuff from our boys. Leinster were imperious last night, smashing performance from Luke Fitzgerald, delighted to see he's playing himself back into Ireland contention. We'll need players of his class in the next month or two when we're heavily compensating for O'Driscoll's absence.
