Offaly big ball

Edenderry are making their own tradition, setting the benchmark for other Offaly schools, its a pity they are not trying to reach it. I dont want to hear an argument concerning Ferbane, fair play to them but lets not get ahead of ourselves, vocational-colleges A , enormous gulf in class

St pats Navan are no strong team. I whitnessed them play the Abbey CBS Newry in a friendly, and the Newry boys hammered them. May have been just a friendly, but it showed the gulf in class. My money is on who wins the McCrory, both ennisklillen and Maghera look good sides.

id have to agree with you .. this years st pats navan team wasnt spectacular in any sense .altough 6 of this years starting team can play next year , and the junior team walked leinster would suggest they'l have a strong team next year .

at the same time i would then have to disagree with anyone saying that the ulster schools are streets ahead , st pats played colemans of newry earlier in the year and could have beaten them comfortably only they emptied there bench in the last 10 minutes . and also pats played enniskillen in two challenge matches this year and both games were extremely close one ended as a draw . and to see colemans in the semi final of ulster and enniskillen in the final would suggest that ulster isn't that strong this year unless maghera beat enniskillen easily , because as i said this years pats of navan was an oridinary side .

Well done to Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne on a great victory over De La Salle Macroom in the Munster Colleges Corn Uí Mhuirí Final played in Killarney last Sunday. The game finished Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne 2-10 De La Salle Macroom 0-8 and is their first time winning the competition. They are the dark horses for the Hogan Cup this year and are captained by Pádraig Óg Ó Sé, the son of Páidí, who plays centre-back.

Northside, as far as I know they will play the Ulster Champions so that will be a tough game for them. It's a small school and is only represented by 3 or 4 clubs, a great achievement to even get this far.

The ulster teams have been very strong in the last few years , but after seeing st pats navan against ulster finalists enniskillen twice this year i dont think ulster is as strong as previous years

St. Jarlaths don't look as good as last year but should win that game by a point or two.

St Michaels Enniskillen will be representing Ulster and hopefully they take the Hogan cup to Fermanagh for the first time. Come on St Micks

Congrats St Michaels Enniskillen deserved winners today despite the dubious second yellow followed bye a red . Goodluck against Dingle

Ref was very poor fortyfive. The two yellows for Martin were very harsh. But not to worry the result is all that matters.

St Jarlaths might have played two of the best teams? they certainly got two big tests & that will bring them on for the semi final.

Of the 4 teams left now who would be generally regarded as the favourites?
From recent history I'd probably imagine that St. Michaels are the favourites.
Would that be right?

Haven't seen any of the other teams offaly but St Micks didn't look outstanding yesterday. They are a small enough side. Although the keeper young Belcoo man Paddy Sweeney is superb. Last time st Micks played in a hogan final they got an awful tonking from St Jarlaths in Carrick on Shannon. 3-13 - 0-06.
