I speak the truth and nothing but the truth. I got confirmation today that three players will miss tomorrow's game.

CBS will win by 3 points. Take my word. And yes, I heard they will be down 3 players. They're still a top class school though.

I also heard CBS are down three top players but even with them Jarlaths are a better side now than the league team so i expect them to win by at least 3pts

Write off 12 time hogan cup winners SJC at your peril.6 down at half time and coming back to win is a fabulous result!

As part of the St. Jarlaths College alumni, I have taken a keen interest in their Hogan Cup run. All I have been hearing for the last few weeks talking to people is this particular Roscommon CBS side where ready to blow the 12 time Hogan Cup champions out of the water and it was 'the best CBS team ever to come through those gates'. All I can say to CBS and their followers, welcome to Senior 'A' Championship football, it was a pleasure having you for your short short stay in it.

I was at the match in Ballyhaunis today and as a Galway man Ros Cbs seem to be a far better team and Jarlaths got lucky today!

I couldn't agree more. Cbs threw it away. Number 1,3,8,11 and 15 were best for cbs today. The remaining players were average and that unfortunatly lost them the game.

Triber - how did Jarlaths get lucky when they managed to fight back from 6 down at half time and manage to hold cbs to just 1 or 2 points in the second half?

In fairness Jarlaths were better in second half (wind also helped) however overall I felt Jarlaths were lucky that CBS played so poorly in second half and that CBS handed game to them on plate. However CBS were lucky in first half how they got the lucky goal and that their goalkeeper pulled off a good save otherwise it could of been no contest

Absolutely gutted.I think Jarlaths just about deserved it alrite fair play to them and good luck to them in the remainder of the campaign.
Would have loved to have seen how the Jarlaths backs would have handled Michael Gunning had he been fit.Hopefully Roscommon will have those injured players back for the Connacht Minor C'ship to defend their crown and hopefully gain revenge for todays defeat against the tribes Minors.
Same as last year!

as a neutral in the friendly between abbey cbs and st pats navan i was the stats man for the abbey but here to comment on what i saw. they abbey simply ranover the top of st pats without them putting up a great fight, abbey were still missing 3 key players and before anyone from the south says that the abbey team is older the abbey team had 10 6th years (16/17) maghera beat the abbey by a point so i wudnt beat against maghera going all they way as they are backboned by alot of the glenn minor ulster champions.

Well looks like myself & ispeakwisdom was 100% correct about CBS roscommon getting beaten while Footballguy123 can rest for another year after shamefully hyping them up!

Childish comment from Ahsure. If the CBS were hammered it might have rang through but not when they went so close and missing so many key players.
I think it's a straight shoot-out between Maghera and Jarlaths.A repeat of the 94 final which the Tuam men won.

CBS beat Jarlaths in Tuam a few months ago & yesterday only lost by 2pts with three key players missing. I can take comfort from that knowing our under aged talent is there & i'm looking forward to seeing these CBS players in Roscommon colours in the years ahead.

Best of luck to Jarlaths i expect them to win the Connacht final now with plenty to spare but after that some big tests await.

Bit surprised to see Moate CS knocked out at the semi-final stage.
Sounds like it was the goals that killed them.

Congrats to Edenderry in making it to the final too. Good to see a school within our county make some impact in the Leinster Colleges A championship as Offaly schools have not much tradition in this particular competition.
