@Galwayman1995 - Ye've lost already if yer gonna start using the ''we were missing players excuse'' . I know the St. Jarlaths management and panel and i knopw dat was as good as first team. Cbs are strong from 1-15. have no real weak spots. strong spine of team. predicition - cbs after extra time by 2 points

Like who seriously reads into challenge games? I don't think Roscommon CBS have been talked up to much! from a school that hasn't won much in such a long time they did very well to win the B All Ireland & A Connacht league, Jarlaths are still the main team in Connacht they now have a point to prove after that league defeat & i think they will beat CBS by at least 3 points.

Everyone but you maybe? I believe cbs will win game by 4 points +. What are summerhill and geralds like? jarlaths have been talked up too much not cbs. although if jarlaths get an early goal , they may hold on .

Firstly the other teams are not up to much so Roscommmon CBS v St Jarlath's is the Connacht final in all but name.

Footballguy123 nobody takes challenge games seriously they are for trying new players & getting fitness right. Reading back on your posts here it's clear your trying to down play the Galway teams chances, i see you asked a Roscommon man "any weakness in there team?" Then without a reply a few post later you came out with the post "CBS have no weakness"

As Neutral supporter i know St Jarlath's remain one of the best school teams in Ireland & it will be a major shock if they don't win the Connacht championship.

This is sure to be a cracker.Would bring back memories of the memorable 98 Connacht Final when the Cbs thumped Jarlaths and were most unlucky in an extra time cliff-hanger with Colman's Newry in semi-final,who went on to win it easily unless I'm very much mistaken.

I dont know.Very hard to call. The Cbs would have no real standout stars just fairly solid from 1-15.

You seem to know them fairly well?

@fredrickwood- I saw them in the all ireland final last year and the league final this year as a neutral and they do seem to have a strong spine. I feel its going to be a spectacular game and going to extra time but i just have a gut feeling (with the way cbs have performed in last two years) that they will walk it by 3 or 4 points. Does anybody know the team line ups for the game?

No not really. Just saw them in League Final and All Ireland Final. Very strong spine. I feel cbs will win it after extra time by 3 or 4 points. Will be spectacular game though . Any team line ups yet?

if you'd put this forum up for any of the last five years... you'd probably have a majority of people saying schools from the south... but ulster schools won every single title! people just dont like to acnowledge the fact that schools football in ulster is just generally stronger... the hogan will do what it does best and follow the macrory cup to its home for the next year!

A little less of the cockiness there MourneMan95 - yes Colmans won it last year, but only for the Jarlaths goalie making a hames of things, it might well have been different.

The Northern lads are generally a year older than their southern counterparts.
Not a level playing field.
