I'm hearing Roscommon CBS won there QF today to set up a semi final meeting with St Jarlaths whoever wins that should win Connacht though Summerhill Sligo are always good.

The MacRory Cup Quarter Final draw sees

St.Pats Maghera v Abbey CBS
St.Marys Belfast v St.Colmans Newry
St.Michaels Enniskillen v Omagh CBS
St.Patricks Academy Dungannon v St.Pats Armagh

Some interesting ties here; neighbourly contests with Enniskillen v Omagh and Dungannon v Armagh. You would expect Colemans to be too strong for St.Mary's and Maghera v Abbey should be another close game. Could be two Tyrone and two Down sides in the semi finals

Bit ridiculous that Dundalk schools are allowed to compete as one team? I mean if any town in Ireland had that they'd go far.

Knockbeg College, Dundalk Colleges, Colaiste Eoin, Moate CS, St. Peter's Wexford, Athlone CC, St. Mary's Edenderry and Colaiste Iosagain Portarlington/Col Mhuire Mullingar (haven't heard the result) are the remaining teams in Leinster .. Big surprise is absence of St. Pats, Navan, defeated by St. Peters! Moate and Edenderry are supposedly very strong, but are yet to be tested! Athlone CC are grinding out great results so expect to see them in the shake up also! Dundalk are defending champions and will be looking to defend their crown. Overall, a very strong last 8 and the winner of Leinster will mount a serious Hogan Cup challenge!

Ulster teams are the yardstick in this competition and will more than likely win the Hogan again.

spy in the sky: Colaiste Eoin are very strong as witnessed by their fine win, away from home over Good Counsel, New Ross. However, a little closer to the border and Dundalk schools are waiting in the long grass to retain their title.
GAA Lover: As far as I am aware, Ulster play Munster and Connacht play Leinster in All- Ireland series.

Fo once I agree with Dr.No here.
The MacRory cup is one of the most enjoyable football finals every year.
Until they get older and more cynical. Then it's as u were.

Would be a huge achievement for Roscommon cbs to get out of Connaught, by all accounts they have an excellent side and have every chance of doing so, would be fantastic to see them go even further. Great quarter final draw in Leinster with 4 super pairings.

Agree with the last post about CBS Roscommon winning Connacht. St Jarlaths with their history will be expecting to win another Connacht title & going one better than last year (let's be honest they left that All Ireland behind them)
