I think higgins was over looked cause of his bad behaviour on the pitch this year.

very difficult to pick a team from these, alot of merited nominations and obviulsy bias will come into it.

These nominations are for the ENTIRE championship so i have based it on the number of games teams played and how many games each player played. ie no Cian o Sullivan as he only played two dublin games(i know they were the most important).

1. Stephen Cluxton
2. Mick Foley(Deserves one but toss up between him and McGee)(Probably go to O'Sullivan though)
3. Rory O'Carroll
4. Neil McGee( is suspect Cian o Sullivan will get this)
5. Kevin Nolan
6. Karl Lacey
7. Ger Brennan
8. John Doyle
9. Bryan Sheehan(Probably go to McCauley)
10. Darren o'Sullivan
11. Alan Brogan
12. Paul Flynn
13. Colm Cooper
14. Bernard Brogan
15. Cillian O'Connor(Ill guess it will go to MvFadden)

Breakdown
Dublin - 7
Kerry - 3
Donegal - 2
Kildare - 2
Mayo - 1

hard to leave out Ben brosnan(top scorer), left out all Donegal forwards as Murphy rarely played in Full forward line, and there system(while it worked) did not benefit there forwards

Footballer of the year - Alan Brogan
Young Footballer of the Year - Cillian O'Connor/Rory O'Caroll

Very disappointed Greame Molloy was not nominated after demolishing Bernard Brogan in the Leinster final. Fair play to Brosnan, he had a great year.

_________

Why should we be unhappy with Snuff ? It was Joe Brolly's line - There was even a thread about it -Snuffy has used it on here three times and now sees fit to include an exclamation mark to suggest that its a Euereka moment of wit.

Next thing he will be inventing jokes about dead parrots and Fork Handles - Oh how we will chuckle.

Also I think its mad that Mayo get 5 nominations after struggling past terrible teams in London, Galway and Roscommon, having one great game against Cork, and then a hammering against Kerry.
