spudenator, probably the most accurate team posted on this thread but would agree with bagoballs about mcmahon.rooney is a good wing back but with micko and kearns moving him all over the place the last couple of years its hard to even remember him having a good game in that position.always liked mcmahon.a great attacking wing back.reminds me alot of damien healy. depointswilcome (Westmeath) - Posts: 125 - 31/07/2008 12:12:45 62001 Link 0 |

Loyal, Brendan Murphy only played 1 game for Meath in this years championship and conceded 4 goals. Definitley not the best 'keeper in Leinster - would even have Aherne in ahead of him!!! Shinners (Longford) - Posts: 496 - 31/07/2008 14:00:48 62200 Link 0 |

Daytona, its a Leinster team based on the best Leinster players, and John Doyle happens to be one of them, if you dont mind me asking, are you half Wexford or something?? You seem to mention Wexford a lot in your posts. Willie Nelson (None) - Posts: 972 - 31/07/2008 16:13:49 62399 Link 0 |

Ye your right....He seems to be obsessed with Wexford and their backs who 'As good if not better than Westmeaths'!:) paddym123 (Meath) - Posts: 367 - 31/07/2008 16:24:44 62417 Link 0 |
well not really.i based my team on the leinster championship.this is generally were the best players in leinster come to the fore.if i were to pick a best leinster 15 john doyle would be on it.yes colm morris and adrian morrissey are as good if not better than anything westmeath have to offer. daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 31/07/2008 16:41:38 62442 Link 0 |
They werent as good against Dublin as Westmeaths backs....im from Meath and even i can see that! paddym123 (Meath) - Posts: 367 - 31/07/2008 16:52:39 62465 Link 0 |

There is no bias in this, but everyone who has not picked Michael Ennis in their teams are just pure daft.He is arguably the best wing back in the game at present, him and tomas o'Se.I don't see too many wing backs scoring goals in the championship,Ennis has scored against Dublin and Tyrone who are both exceptionally good teams, yet he still managed to play his part defending,an all round class act footiemad (Westmeath) - Posts: 733 - 01/08/2008 11:18:50 62952 Link 0 |
Footiemad, you are spot on there, he has it all as regards a wing back, great defender, strong, good going forward......definatly one of the best in the country, reminds me a bit of Rainbow in his prime, possibly more of a scoring threat though. You are right footiemad...but he is wasted in the backs!Daytona...you have no arguement so you resort to slagging Meath?I was simply referring to your comments that Wxford's backs are better than Westmeath's...which they aren't! paddym123 (Meath) - Posts: 367 - 01/08/2008 11:38:11 62982 Link 0 |
fair enough just an outburst.if i were to pick my overall leinster 15 it would be this: daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 01/08/2008 11:49:44 63010 Link 0 |
