It wasn't that long ago that the Republic had to go cap in hand to the UK begging them for money. I trust Irish citizens haven't forgotten this and won't vote for a man who was part of an organisation that terrorised the UK. Don't forget who your friends are, if it wasn't for the UK you'd be in even more of a mess

Given the nature of your posts I sincerely doubt that you're of voting age. Don't take your bigger and better neighbours for granted, we mightn't help next time you come calling with your begging bowl

Things must be getting tough if you have to bring the "Himself" above into it.

Enjoy your public sector job in a few years if you have the intellectual capability to graduate (I doubt you will though, your talents revolve around writing posts of a repetitive nature on an anonymous forum). Your aspirations in the north are admirable, who needs a real job when we have a public sector being fed by Britain.

And who knows, maybe the British people will get fed up of you in the morning, and then you'll come running to us. Dont take us for granted when you come begging with your bowl (bought from your public sector wages).

Its time to move on paddy, its in the past, lets look forward now! Any of this look familiar, thats because this is the constant diatribe we had to listen to when 'her majesty' came calling, condescending lectures from the very same news outlets and publications that are so busy dragging up the past of McGuinness that they have barely noticed any of the other candidates, let alone scraped the surface of their dubious enough histories.

The Irish electorate have been too busy patting themselves on the back after giving FF a bloody nose in the last election, not realising that they haven't changed a god damned thing. Now they really do have an opportunity to break up the cosy establishment once and for all, I hope they don't let it go.

Would you have some respect for a country that gave us a 7 Billion sterling loan. Without that there would be no social welfare paid, especially given that the graduates of the Republic of Ireland will be heading for the dole queues. Give me a public sector job in Northern Ireland any time of the week.

I hope Sergeant's views aren't representative of the views of the average Irishman. Britain came to your aid when you needed it, you are indebted to us and never forget that. Quite embarrassing that less than a century after getting your freedom you have to come crawling back to Britain, ask nicely and we might even let you join the Commonwealth :)

Remember PP, you (we) are citizens of the United Kingdom and not Great Britain, so endeth the lesson.

I presume then that the loan is interest free? If not just typical British, profiting from the difficulty of others

Why do you constantly feel the need to live in the past Derryman, let bygones be bygones. This bitterness can't be healthy

No biterness PP only honest appraisal of the past which we unfortunately are still in because of the refusal of the British government to address the future. And it is strange that when it suits you the recent past is very relevant to your mockery of reality. Ireland is moving forward and as usual it is the enemies within that are the greatest hurdle to advancement

Yes Brend I just pointed that out to him. But then again when you are only posting to be a pain then principles and honesty are of little matter. He refuses to tell me why he has no problem in being in a club named after a militant republican but makes a great deal of the fact GAA name clubs after others. I have given him the benefit of the doubt when others have questioned his authenticity but now my own doubts are stirring.
