Fitness alone won this game for Dublin, the Tyrone old guard still shows the classy touches of football at times.

Great tactical display from Dublin - full credit to Gilroy whatever about tired Tyrone legs he fairly set up his team to expose them. great long ball to the full forward line exposed Tyrone at the back and making the two changes before hand worked spot on. also Dublins control of the ball is unreal given the conditions they must have been training in the rain all year!!!
if they can get b brogan motoring they will be hard to stop - had he been moving well today they would have bagged a few goals.

That's BS Ulsterman, Dublin's passing, their score taking, their support play was of a far higher standard. Tyrone deserve credit for sticking in there, but had the Dubs taken their goal scoring chances it would have been a massacre.

Tom4 ... who was hyping Tyrone up??? One of the best teams in recent times - nobody hyped them up because they were a class outfit. Granted they are a shadow of their former selves now but that happens to all the great teams at some stage. Suit you better to be more gracious in victory.

I don't think tyrone are gone, there is still alot of talent in the county but it is the last time we see some of them in croke park, thanks for the merrories - remember they never won a senior title until 10 years ago,
they gave us the best ever goal scored in Croke park - O. Mulligan v Dublin
best block ever - C. Gormley v armagh 2003 All ireland final

best point ever - dooher against kerry in all-ireland final,

things change, people change and armagh and tyrone change - i'm lucky to see 10 years of great games,
thanks tyrone

great that we can have the punchline in this stupid thread , brilliant to be able to put tyrone to the sword once again and send tyhem back to the north , 2005 and 2008 particularly were such horrible feelings when we lost but the tyrone lads can have a dose of some of the same now , as for the tyrone/kildare comparison .....kildare are undoubtedly a different class , they are just about coming to their peak , while tyrone are WELL past it , the likes of mcginley , mcconnell , mcmenamin , oneill , mulligan , dooher , mcguigan , hughes and jordan will all be considering their future over the next few months , it really should be a KILDARE V DUBLIN SEMI FINAL ON THE 29TH , anyway great to see the red hands packing they are fading badly and despite all this talk of new players coming through pete harte was the only player under 23 on the tyrone team ! the majority of the team and the subs were over 30 for tyrone , also nobody should have convinced mugsy to return , and despite the missed opportunities and shameful refereeing by mcquilan we still beat tyrone so convincingly , connolly , flynn , broganx2 , cahill , bastick , nolan , ocarroll and brenna just awesome and a big shout out to my boi cian osullivan , up the dubs and come on waterford and mayo!!!!!!!!!!!

i wont gloat that tyrone team were finished last year when dublin beat them by 5 in the quarters , and i dont believe mickey harte is holding back the good young players if they are good enough they be in that team , and well done to son he was tyrones best player when he came on , tyrone will go on to rebuild now and they will be back but it might take a generation to match this tyrone team they were special

I'd just like to point out that Longford got closer to Tyrone than Armagh and Roscommon, so Longford can be seen as a top 8-12 county in everybody's eyes if they wish. Just saying!!!!

Outclassed by an excellent Dublin team,no other way of putting it.Every Tyrone man tried his best and they kept fighting til the final whistle. Some of the boys will probably retire now and i would like to thank them for giving Tyrone people their greatest ever days in Croke Park.
