I wouldnt dream of cotradicting the great Michael thats if he said it,I would imagine he said Mick was the best in his time,we cannot say who is the greatest centeback or the greatest team of all time as nobody has seen all the teams since the AI championship started

I read Cody was quite baffled over the free count, felt his team did't get treated fairly, they got 6, waterford got 14.

now hells kitchen? well now thats a different story! They would have been my best three of all time and all on the one team!!

The key here ThurlesBlues is the word MY. Thank you for putting that in. You like, everybody else, are entitled to their opinion on who was the greatest full back line of all time. Nobody else is sharing your opinion. That alone should tell you something.

I have never seen Hells Kitchen play (and you admitted that you have not either). I do remember Micheal O Muircheartaigh talking about them. Apparently they were great hurlers in their day. Hurling in that day was a lot different though. A good full back line at that time had a job to protect the goalkeeper and simply stop the full forward by whatever means necessary. In fact, in an interview about 10-12 years ago, your three heros actually admitted themselves that they were not the most skillful hurlers (now I am sure that is their modesty coming out and most likely they were great in their time). However, from what all of us can see in the present, is that Tommy Walsh, JJ and Henry are probably the best players that I have ever seen. And Thurles, I am from Cork and I have no love for Kilkenny what so ever, but I am not so biased as not to be blind to it.

I see the blouse is back to making the same points again about players 50 years ago.... hopefully if he keeps banging that drum he brake it fairly soon.

bennybunny and pudders i'll give up arguing!there just what i got from the match and as i said i'm not a fan of kk, dont like them. maybe that skews my views but there my points. My evaluation: Weak full backline particulary murphy and hickey, hogan is too lose, delaney cant run! Rice should start at midfield with fennelly. a forward line that will not function without shefflin and even with him the others arent producing the goods.

oh and 2 years ago...most people said KK's b team were the 2nd best in the country (not said by KK people or me), wheres all the wonder subs now? and tipps b team beat the A team in a practice match doesnt mean our subs are better than other teams either!
