Best left-footed Forward.

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Paddy Doherty for me was the best ever left-footed payer in my time watching Gaelic !!

Who is the best left-footed forward in Gaelic Football at the moment ? Ciaran Lyng who scored some beauties last Sunday is up there !!
Gooch, the Bradleys, Pauric Joyce and Brogan are also very good on their left but who is the best in the country ?

I thought about 99% of the GAA were left footers.

Ciaran McDonald for Mayo had a sweet left foot. But at the moment I would say Padraig Joyce.

Derry's Bradley brothers Eoin and Paddy before both got injured. But all time best left boot award goes to Mayo's Ciaran McDonald

Well it depends.. Are you asking who has the best left foot in the country or who is the best player who is left footed? The best player is obviously gooch but he doesn't have the best left foot. That would probably be eoin bradley or ciaran lyng. And when it comes to lyng the reason he isn't as good as cooper is because he is completely left footed. Gooch is good off both feet.

Well if you are talking purely the player with the best left foot, I'd say Gooch, Paddy Bradley, Paul Finlay, Ciaran McDonald off the top of my head. I always thought Adrian Sweeney had a sweet left boot too.

As for the best players who are left footed there are a number of players like Gooch, Joyce and Big Dermot. But the best of the lot is quite clearly Larry Reilly.
