We keep good company in the overhyped, over rated and shockingly average club with Dublin and Mayo.

what sort of crowd will be at this down v antrim game?

The ground only holds 30,000 but there are plans to have a large screen at the pitches at Shaw's Road to accommodate another 30,000.

are you doing the Stewarding on the Shaw's road pat?

Hag and Cheese, there is as much chance of getting a northern paper hyped about Antrim football as there is of getting a lovely woman for David Norris. Closest you'll get is the Andytown news but its hardly a wide selling paper beyond west Belfast. Now, if it was cricket, bowls, knitting or flute playing comp then they'd be creaming themselves to get a headline.

i have to laugh at the Dublin people coming on here slating antrim about over-hype. Dublin have been over-hyped for the last 15 years without getting past a semi final. Their hurlers have been over hyped this year and its clear they cant survive against kilkenny etc when it matters. They've made great progress but all these claims of 'all-ireland contenders' is nonsense! Hill 16 dizziness!

Certainly. The family home is at the bottom of Shaw's Road.

Just put a "Patrique" sticker on your car and ye will be ok.

No, I think it's fair to say there is absolutely no hype regarding the Antrim football team. The analysis/previews of recent Antrim games on RTE usually last seconds with the pundits unable to name any players and don't base their opinions on anything other than a theory plucked out of mid air.

If you do that the power of patrique will take over the car it will do what it wants ignoring anything you try and do with the controls in a herbieisk fashion.

This is a non sensical thread, everyone knows Antrim are a fair enough side with good footballers. They would be a lot better than Clare and Leitrim so Down will have it hard enough but should win.

i think a few bob on antrim to win wouldnt be the worst bet you could place this weekend down have shown nothing this year to suggest they will win and by all accounts are quite lucky to be there

Who do we meet after Cork? Is that the quarter? Kerry would be an easy draw. Or the Dubs at Croke, as a warm up to bigger tests.

But I wouldn't want to hype the team up.........
