This thread is called Louth or Meath... just incase yee didnt notice.
Not what did you think of last years Leinster final,

So on the basis of this thread and what it is named I will reply correctly and say I fancy Meath on this occasion.

Yeah gigoer! your probably right sure Louth are pretty unreal at the moment I am going to say
Louth 6-25 Meath 0-4
Just with Louth getting beaten by Carlow and that, Im very worried about there one scoring forward Lennon....
Just dont think our backs can handle the pace and vast amounts of scroing forwards it will be a tough 1 alright :)
Poor Meath they are nobodys beacuse they lost to Kildare, I predict this slaughtering and Meath to not doing anything else this summer as they are so useless. Meath should also pull themselves out of next years championship because they are so bad. RIP Meath.

Ha! Great sarcasm there, y'gotta love it

Y'shouldn't be too sure though, it's all in the 70 minutes. Now cockiness aside, what do you think the actual score will be?

Am banking on Big Joe to bag 3 goals, one from penalty spot due to pressure from Meath around Louth goal area. Fully expect Meath to win but if the Louthmen lift their game after the disappointment of Carlow defeat then I would give them my support for the rest of the campaign. I believe there is a lot of empathy in Meath for Louth and hopefully whatever the outcome on Saturday, that it is not compromised by bad refereeing decisions. Good luck to both teams and a thank you to both sets of players for their huge effort in giving all GAA fans such sporting pleasure.

Surprised to see a Wexford man leading the charge against the Royals but I suppose stranger things have happened, not surprised at all that Snuff is pretending to hate Meath as usual, I honestly think the lad loves us Royals because lets be honest here, teasing is a clear sign of affection :-)

Anyway as for the match itself, well to be honest my confidence for this season is now shot after what I've seen since the start of the year and I don't think the players have it in them for a big win against Louth. We may pull off a 3 or 4 point win if we're lucky but Louth could just as easily do the same, its 50/50 I reckon, of course no doubt we're gonna be battling the officials aswell in this game who would only love to reverse last years result.

I'm just asking what people think the score will be that's all, I happen to think that Louth will be fired up and may take the win, in my opinion

That's hardly 'leading the charge against the Royals', don't be so dramatic

Ah I'm not really being dramatic gigoer, ironically thats a bit of a dramatic statement on your behalf. I'm just saying what I see, I mean you have said that you hope Louth beats Meath (could be wrong but) and you have posted a lot messages on this for a lad who claims to be indifferent to the result so what else am I supposed to think?

FT.....Meath 2-17 Louth 1-09

I watched Paddy Keenan last week on RTÉ Sport on Two: The Committee Room,he more or less said he was looking forward to the game against Meath, but in comparison he seem more like a lad trying to convince people how much he loves his mother in law,but no disrespect to Paddy Keenan(or his mother in law if he has one)Louth got the handie side of the leinster draw thanks to the gaa gods, and in truth louth did not see them selfs so early in the qualifiers, there plan was to get to a leinster final, this would have being there own justice to them selfs after alot of soul searching and talk between them selfs last winter,if it was any other team but carlow that bet them confidence would not be so bad....but how bad is it really now?,i am not convince..Carlow played well that sunday they bet louth but carlow played like carlow, and louth played like louth.

Well Htaem, I s'pose when you put it that way, I'll be straight up with you, I wouldn't begrudge Louth a win over you guys after the injustice that was done to them last year and that is NOT trying to reopen that old argument blaming Meath or the ref, nor am I making a statement of what should or shouldn't have happened afterward, that's all history now.

But in a romantic sense, I suppose it would be a feelgood and some form of retribution for Louth that I doubt many would begrudge them

Mind you, if Meath win it, I won't lose sleep over it either, hence my initial and what I now realise may have been OTT comment of who cares? that clearly irked many of your fellow countymen into posting replies and I don't tend to back down without a fight in discussions of this type, hence the number of my posts in this thread

I stand by my comments that I don't think the outcome of this match is going to adversely affect the championship come August/September, no more than my own county is likely to - Leinster title is our dream for 2011 (albeit a far-out dream), not a respectable QF place but at no point did I provocatively promote my own county at the demotion or scorn of Meath/Louth

Still as your friend says, what do you Meath boys care what a Wexford man thinks or vice versa for that matter?

I s'pose the only thing left to say is good luck to all of us
