who cares if neither of us have an impact on the championship its still very important to me if meath can get a decent run even if i know we have no chance of winning the a1 sure with your attitude than all the teams who cant win would have no interest in any of their championship games

Sam, don't be such a ding-dong & read between the lines, I hate it when when it has to be spelt out for people.

We Wexford folk are hopeful of getting past Carlow and contesting a Leinster final although it's a huge ask for us, we lay in hope. Assuming we don't win Leinster we will be going into the qualifiers just like Louth & Meath but in my opinion neither ye, Louth or us are good enough to stop the likes of Tyrone, Dublin, Kerry or Cork.

We can both hope for a good run in the qualifiers but I would say that a quarter final is the best any of the 3 of us could hope for and that I don't think Meath, Louth or Wexford will have a huge say on the outcome of the championship. Hence, I don't really care who wins between Louth & Meath, so shut up implying that I put Wexford on a pedestal when I did nothing of the sort

I thought Meath should offered Louth a replay at the time but also acknowedged they had no requirement to. After all, if it was the other way round Louth wouldn't have offered a replay either

Teams in both sports have often benefitted from refereeing errors over the years without offering a replay, just because this one was in the most dramatic of circumstances doesn't mean Meath summarily HAD to offer a replay

It's an old discussion by now I know, bit it's a bit much to suggest that anyone else in the province other than Meath would have refused the trophy & replayed this game

ah lads not being smart but are ye not all sick to death of the same conversation regarding Meath/Louth.. past is past.. it happened no one can change it and no Saturdays game will not put an end to it .. it only ads a bit of bite to teh fixture.. all said and done when it comes doen to the last 4 or 8 in the last 4 or even 8 both will be consentrating on local club championship games..
