I can't believe some guys who I THOUGHT had both sense and a sense of humour are taking issue with patrique regarding the moon etc. If ye can't see he was taking the p*** then I simply give up. Anyhow how can you argue with a looney about the moon he is certain to win that argument. corkcelt (Cork) - Posts: 4388 - 21/06/2011 16:08:53 962075 Link 0 |

Corkcelt - I have had people swear blind to me, in the past that the Sun and the moon are the same object. While I appreciate Patriques wit, I would hate for somebody 'inferior' to him to become mislead in regards the scientific understandings of the inner solar system. That said, I fully acknowledge that this could hardly be further off-topic, so hooray for McIlroy and all local golf fans. :) Suas Sios (None) - Posts: 1558 - 21/06/2011 16:20:32 962090 Link 0 |

If the man thinks of himself as British then why are we trying to claim him as Irish. I think it is quite sad that we feel we have to try and claim sportsmen who clearly do not consider themselves as Irish. Personally i am proud of all sportsmen(and women) who represent us, and i dont think we should be embarrasing ourselves by pretending that Mc I PK57 (Louth) - Posts: 1664 - 22/06/2011 15:56:56 963053 Link 0 |

I disagree, I think Rory sees himself as British and Irish, which he is. Most people up here do, we're born in Ireland but also in the UK. Just because some posters on here are confused about their nationality doesn't mean we all are pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 22/06/2011 16:13:59 963082 Link 0 |
