i agree with tomo1. ryan what are you on about ballyhaise they belong in intermediate and redhills are a much better team ith the likes of kelly, minagh, callan, leddy and smith coming through while ballyhaise just have tierney

just made bits of me? If you want to claim a victory, feel free..i'l just be happy with my championship medal and look forward to senior league and championship football next year and the joy of playing with two of the most talented young players in the county, not too shabby for a team that has no underage teams and no facilites and no hope....

emm just in reply to that comment that ballyhaise have no one coming through....ballyhaise have more than kevin tierney coming through...for instance:Mark Brennan,Niall Costello,Neil Rooney, ect.
Incase anyone forgot ballyhaise are in an u21 final with nerly 10 minors on the team....so im sorry that comment just made no sense to me as ballyhaise has serious talent coming through the underage!!

if ballyhaise just have tierney coming through how did ballyhaise manage to beat redhills in u21 with all of their "superstars". there must be more than just one player if they can overome a team with 5 or 6 county minors on it. i agree with in d kno about our young players coming through although i do have my doubts about mark brennan. marks younger brother ryan is supposed to be goin well for their u16 tam aswell as a regular on the minors and it is clear he has more talent then mark. mark is the type of player who runs into tackles and loses the ball. i have also noticed he fouls people very easily.
neil rooney and niall costelloe are good prospects though and can be played anywhere. from underage neil was named the "safest hands in the club" because he can catch a ball from anywhere. this hepled his confidence and he is turning into a fine prospect, making his senior debut in the county championship semi final and effectively turning the game in ballyhaises favour.

yeah you should probly get use to that medal because id say it'll be the only one you get unless they give out relegation medals..sure you can tell me next year after you get religated

bigboned you muppet.ballyhaise should be in the top statue because of there underage coming trough eg david dugan coming trough and mark brenan who are both ecpectional players

and in da no i think i dont no about brennan because he gave away a goal that almost lost ballyhaise there quatar final...he also has terrible handpassing..donal mcgoldrick is a super footballer that was given the nickname checkpoint ted because he is able to stop any coming trough player

Have to say there's nothing I like more on this board than slagging between two local clubs but at lot of the stuff posted on this page is total rubbish. The pick of them has to be this offering

Ryan Brennan. You say it wont be long til Ballyhaise are back where they belong. You are back where you belong. You are mediocre Intermediate team who have struggled at this grade for years, even with a huge pick of players and so called great players coming through, you have got to 1 final. Get over your self.Same tripe keeps coming out of Ballyhaise people. You always think your better than you really are.

Ballyhaise are hardly struggling in the intermediate, they just struggle to win the thing out. I remember a couple of years back they hammered us in breffni and we went on to lift the inter that year. As far as I know they've been knocking about the semi final stage for the last 5 or so years (open to correction on last year, wasn't here) so to say they are struggling with intermediate status is rather ridiculous. Their problem seems to be with the big occasion. As for all this ranting on younger players, I'll leave that argument to the kids.

tomo1 - they mustnt give out relegation medals or the ballyhaise players would be crowing about their's.

i don't think you answered my question or are you avoiding it on purpose.

you were just bragging on about your "superstars" at underage and that ballyhaise have none except that tierney fella so explain to me how ballyhaise managed to be redhills in the u21 first round? and win comfortably?
on this evidence you may enjoy your senior status while it lasts because it won't be long before your back where you belong.

i am just a neutral looking on on this conversation i am taking no sides.

come on ballyhaise.

I sense alot of jelousy from d haise people...the u21 was a once of this year as certain things was happening around that time! But its funny at every underage match in the past couple of years Redhills always seem to come out on top-so our underage structure must be doing something right.

I read Ballyhaise will soon be back were they belong in senior with a good number of players coming through-Id jus take a look back at the intermediate final and how many d haise had togged out and only one sub(i think it was a back)was made!!!! how any management cud sit back and look at haise forwards for 60 minutes is beyond me.. it goes to show Quanity doesn beat Quality....

You call our facilities useless-then id love to have seen the scoreboard in Brefini if we had better training facilities...

The fact of the matter is that haise people seem to chicken out at big matches, think they are better than they are n thats wats wrong in our county n it shows in inter-county level...Redhills knew from the throw in that the cup would be coming home to our parish,D proof lys in d bookies records!! Its hard to beat passion, ignorance and belief of a team like Redhills-future will tell!!!
So quit crying Ballyhaise and learn from your mistakes...WagnRoll to redhills!!!!

if you read my posts, you will see that i never slagged off any ballyhaise players or said they had no-one coming through. And population might explain why we can't field a minor/good U21 team...
