Redrock - I'm not sure when/where the B'boro v Redhills game will be. I think the quarter finals will be on the weekend of the 22nd August. The game might be in Breffni, although the same fixture in the "Back Door" last year was played in Drumalee.

I see drumalee were beaten at the weekend again. what a fall from grace. two years ago intermediate and u 21 champions and now they couldnt get over a mediocre ballyhaise side.

Theo / Redrock, it looks like the Quarter Finals will run on the weekend of 29/30/31 August, unless the two teams are agreeable to play the game the week before. I'm not sure how this might suit the teams.

The Lavey - Killinkere is at 6.30 Sunday evening and not 7.00 as advertised.

any reviews on favourites for intermediate championship after weekend fixtures? What happened Lavey? How good are Ballyhaise and Redhills?

Intermediate Championship Quater-Final Draw

Bailieboro V Redhills - Redhills by 2
Drumlane V Drumgoon - Drumgoon by 4
Kill V Lavey - Lavey by 6
Ballyhaise V Winners of the Qualifiers

Qualifiers:
Laragh
Killinkere
Killeshandra
Cootehill
Swanlinbar
Drumalee
Ballymachugh

I'd fancy Killinkere to come out of the qualifiers.

Does anyone know the fixtures for the Qualifiers or the location/dates for the Quater-Finals?

Cootehill Celtic against Killeshandra Leaguers this Saturday at 5.30 in Ballyhaise in the Qualifier Final....

Any thoughts on the outcome of this game?

Declan McKiernan and Damien Higgins are back from their travels so should be available for Cootehill game-should boost Leaguer morale.

I must say i'm very suprised by the lack of discussion about the intermediate championship compared to the senior and junior.
Who are the favourites, one's to look out for, potential top scorers. My prediction as a neutral is that Redhills could suprise a few with some excellent young talent. Will there lack of size get in the way or will there speed and skill prevail???

As am I Manckyman, how do you feel that the first round winners will cope with all that time off, must be hard having 5 weeks off between the first round game and the quarter final and worse still 6 weeks for Ballyhaise and they don't know who they are playing yet either.
Have to say I think that whoever wins this Saturday between ourselves and Killeshandra will be a lot stronger for coming through the qualifiers than if they had of won their first round game.....

Corrigan and O'Dowd were lethal, drumgoon forwards shooting was shocking, corrigan scored about 8-9 points from midfield.Drumgoon were very bad.

Drumgoon gone! Well this puts the cat among the pigeons...

Already in the Semi's:

Drumlane
Lavey

Quater Finals left to be played:

Redhills v Bailieboro (in breffni this saturday 5pm)
Ballyhaise v Cootehill (in breffni this sunday 2:30pm)

Both quater finals should be good games. I'd fancy Redhills to take (the completely unpredictable) Bailieboro by 1 or 2 pts. And Ballyhaise to take Cootehill by the same margin.

"Declan McKiernan and Damien Higgins are back from their travels so should be available for Cootehill game-should boost Leaguer morale." - another classic forecast from 'Observant'. Up the Celts!
