Slasher, would you not agree that taking a step backwards to take a few steps forward is better than taking no steps at all?

Why introduce them all in the championship where you need a settled team ? Why so many at the same time ?
I don't know where the positives are as you rarely learn much from a hiding except that you are so far behind your opponents. It could have the opposite effect !! I just cannot understand the thinking behind that. Now Hyland is saying that some of them are too light, could he not see that before the game ? That just re-enforces the opinion that they don't know what they are doing !!

How come young McBREARTY can produce the goods on his first full championshipn game ansd our lads cant?? And he is only 18.
DOES MANAGEMENT NOT PLAY A PART THERE??
We are going to waste a generation of young players..Management over complicating things on a wet windy day.
Look at Dublin Minors last year and the over complicated football they played. 4 games and they couldnt beat an average Kildare side.
Now that over complicated stuff is being embedded in Cavan football.

dead right ochonloir these so called cavan fans seem to forget last years performance in breffni vs fermanagh ,we played what will prove to be a very good Donegal team yesterday who are going to be very formidable. I'm saying all year be patient with players and management for God's sake stop talking about changing management we've had all that over the last 10 seasons. This year was never going to be about a charge in the ulster, we are coming from a very low base where negativity has been our best card for a long long time. Stop whinging & moaning get yourselves down to Breffni in 2 weeks time & use all that hot air to get behind " OUR COUNTY" & give them youngsters your full backing they deserve it!!!

Shev complicated? You want to complicate things further by playing Cullivan v Longford despite his suspension now thats complicated.

mcBrearty is a very good player who is slotting into a well matured team in terms of their development as a side

something of interest about the game, despite the talk about how the u21 were not fit for the challenge, they accounted for 6 points of our total of 1-08 (and if you take away sub michaels brennans contribution of 1-01 it just shows you how little the old guard actually contributed.

Let's be honest, cavan were never going to beat Donegal. They are a few years ahead of us in terms of development. I don't think you can blame Val and Terry for looking towards the future but my starting 15 for the next day would be:

James Reilly
James McEnroe
Dermot Sheridan
Dane O'Dowd
John McCutcheon
Paraic O'Reilly
Mark McKeever
David Givney
Gearoid McKiernan
Ronan Flanagan
Gareth Smith
Eugene Keating
Niall McDermott
Michael Brennan
Sean Johnston

Not at all. Let them carry on as they know what they are doing and doing it very well. We had a great game plan and were very unlucky. We really should have won as we totally dominated. We looked really well in training and brought it onto the field. Same again against Longford and we will hammer them out the gate !!

Cavan have to be the dirtiest team in Ireland. 2 near assaults on Donegal players. Disgraceful

Donegal's talisman Michael Murphy is free to play in the Ulster SFC semi-final against Tyrone on Sunday week after the CCCC decided to overturn the red card he received against Cavan.

The Donegal captain had been facing a four-week ban, however, the general consensus is that the Glenswilly clubman was harshly sent off by Sligo referee Marty Duffy and it was widely expected that the red card would be rescinded once the appeal is heard by the Central Competitions Control Committee.

That was the case and now Donegal can look forward to taking on the Ulster champions at full strength in Clones in nine days time.
