It would be a special munster championship for Tipp , it would be number 40, we have a lot of catching up to cork though.

Its not the Quanity we won but the Quality, Remember 59 when Yee failed to score in 30 minutes of hurling and more recently in 2004 in that little bowl down by the banks a so called all star tipp selection were brought down to earth by our boys in blue.

imagine shrewdjudge Tipp have 29 more munster titles than Waterford
I bet you find that hard to take and 24 more All Ireland titles than ye and the gap is getting bigger as ye lost the boat ye had yer chance in the last decade twice and couldnt take it!

I wonder will Declan Ryan bother playing Brendan Maher in the Munster championship or will he hold him until the serious end of the championship around semi final stage?

they are obviously able to hurl a lot better than Waterford shrewdjudge if you take those facts into account.

They would have done the same as Waterford, having to dig really deep to beat a skilful, well trained and determined Limerick team.

Limerick have shown in some respects that Division 2 isn't that much of an excuse.

Dont try and fool yourself by comparing Tipp to Waterford
Tipp would have beaten Limerick 15 points on Sunday minimum!

losing by a point is the same as losing by 20 you still lose!

Fair enough a loss is a loss no matter what the score. At least they competed anyways and didn't suffer an 11 point defeat like Wexford. If Limerick had lost by 11 points people would be ranting about division 2 and calling for a re-structuring of the league.
Admittedly they were at a disadvantage coming from a lower divison but it's the same in both hurling and football. While the league is often dismissed as only being the league, one advantage it holds for counties doing well is that they do get more tougher games in higher divisions.
