St Eunans / Lkenny Gaels to have Club boundries

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Yes I agree with your comments about competition. You still havnt answered my question why is it that so many lads play for Eunans and not The gaels/Most be something there at the end of the day as yous said there is room in the town for 5 teams but then that will only divid the talent between wee clubs instead of a big club.AT THE END OF THE DAY WEE CLUBS WILL ALWAYS BE WEE CLUBS AND BIG CLUBS WILL ALWAYS BE BIG CLUBS. I am not being big headed here lads its just the truth

It's not your success. It's the fact that half your team are transfers in. Mark McGowan, Eddie Brennan, Ciaran Ryan, Devenny... The list goes on and on. And the worst thing is, if yous wanted to bring players through from underage, yous could. Yous just put success above player development.

As I already said players want to play at the best level and that is with Eunans.

We've been down this road so many times this year lads, get over it. Eunans don't need anybody at the bus station or the IT taking players. We have clubs all around the county and country ringing regularly asking if their players can train with us while their here. Not a big deal to let lads join in training. As for the arguement about transfers. Rhino and Eddie were living in letterkenny when they transferred. Mark is from letterkenny, just went to school in Glenswilly because his fathers the principal out there, no big deal again. As for DV, he's been playing longer for Eunans than he has for Newton, Sure he has a minor title with us, think it was 94/95. As for the list goes on, who else?

Gaels don't deserve a boundary. A group of people decided not to follow St.Eunan's, swim upstream by creating a club and instigate a rivalry. Their like dissident republicans-nobody cares.

Is it not true that nearly all the St Eunans officials are from other areas. Paddy Hoey Charlie Cavanagh Charlie Mc Ateer Cathal Green. Fergal Green Connie Maguire, and indeed St Eunans may have gone internatiol in search of club men as of recent I have heard a few scotch accents at the club. Tom Smyth

I think one of the many reasons the gaels was formed was to provide a team so individuals ( many of whom could not get into eunans team due to numerous reasons ) could enjoy playing a sport they love on a regular basis.

RE OTHER AREAS
What are you on mate Leterkenny os all one town ther is no wall running down the middle saying NO EUNANS PAST THIS POINT!!!.
It dosnt matter what part of the town they live in people like Cathal Green.Paddy Hoey have given the club great comitment over the years and do not think they will be leaving any time soon.
I will give the gaels the respect they deserve as sports men both on and off the field but please do not compare they to republicans or the likes. The men who set up the Gaels wanted to create arevial time in the town and so here they have it,The only thing is that they are playing catch up with Eunans for a number of years and will continue to do so

Would people that come into Letterkenny each week for Disco/ Bingo be eligable to play for the St Eunans club.
Bus station should at least be out of bounds to St eunans

This boundry matter wont be settled untill th e Letterkenny people take pride in the Gaels team. look at st Eunans the have no support at all. You could put all St Eunans supporters into a double Phonebox.

For a club that have no support they sure had a lot of help out in the park on Sunday. All club members too. The whole place was a great credit to all out their. Lets support Eunans in their bid to have more games because like them or hate them they sure know how to run a good show. Well Done to all...............

Would just like to add my voice to that of Liam's in saying well done to all at the club yesterday for the way the game against Derry was hosted. Letterkenny is a much preferable option than Ballyshannon, a much more impressive set-up and town for visiting supporters and quite accessible for most of the county, except the extreme South.

tomsmith your a bitter wee man, who doesn't deserve any responses to his posts trying to stir things up. Wise Up!
