During a charity match in aid of Autism Ireland Jason McAteer and Stephen Cluxton tussled for possession and Cluxton lost the rag and gave Jason the one two.Although dont agree with Cluxtons behaviour especially at charity match have to say fair play to him for was never a big fan of McAteers.Never seen that side to Stephen Cluxton before Jason McAteer must of really pi**ed him off...

just read about that on the autism website. Apparently Bernard Dunne was blogging about it and claimed it was an amazing hook that he would've been proud of himself. According to Dunne , McAteer had been mouthing off and acting the big man the whole game and was asking for it. Dunne's words , not mine I hasten to add!!

Did he turn around and shake hands with him two seconds later like he did after kicking Stevie McDonnell in 2003?

Bet you weren't calling Mc Ateer a smarmy pr**k when he scored the winning goal against Holland in 2001. The same accusation of been smarmy pr**ks could also be thrown against a lot of Dublin players, who particularly under Paul Caffrey were well known for showboating and their in your face attitude.

What do you mean never seen that side to Cluxton before? You must have a very short memory.

Was he not red carded a few years ago for booting some one up the backside, effetively costing Dublin a place in the All Ireland final? I forget the game, was it Mayo or Armagh maybe?

He is undiscplined and obviously hasn't changed.

they have to say its staged to save face in front of a charity. bernard dunne knows all about left hooks- martinez showed him plenty of them in the shortest fight in history :D

I heard the Sun 'newspaper' are claiming that too uncle Gerry. I wasn't there so have no idea if it was or wasn't staged but why would they bother? Did anyone there notice any marks on McAteer?? Be interesting to find out...

Yeah showboating alright. Maybe if your county produced some talent they may be able to showboat too!

Fair enough Joxer that Dublin have plenty of talent at the moment, shame they have so little to show for it.
