Cross are the best club ever. No other club could win so many All-Ireland titles in such a short space of time with more expected over next few years.
Imagine what they could have achieved in the past if their pitch wasn't a helicopter landing pad.

If Nemo played in northern Ireland instead of Cork, it would be a different story!

BooBoo........verbal diorrhea, Cross in the middle of nowhere, get a life wud ye, and nothing else to do but play for Cross.
I can tell you something, whilst ye were battling to win County and All Ireland titles, Cross people had another battle on their hands, but you would know nothing about it as you were watching the Nort from the comfort of yer living room, ( no chance of a stray bullet) there.
What have ye won since the Ceasefire in the North, and thank god we fought and won that battle on our own, no help from Cork.

The irony of the "Rebel county" is that they were not rebels against the British in Ireland but actually it relates to how they were "rebels" in an internal conflict in a battle for the English throne.

Cork is nicknamed "The Rebel County", as a result of the support of the townsmen of Cork in 1491 for Perkin Warbeck, a pretender to the throne of England during the Wars of the Roses.
The common misperception of Cork's nickname of The Rebel County is that it derives from a strong connection with the fight for freedom from British occupation of Ireland. In fact, the origin of the name relates to Cork's participation in internal British conflict several centuries earlier. The name was used again at the time of the War of the Two Kings. In later years the term did come to refer more to the struggle against the British than to the Warbeck affair from which it had originally derived, as this had been largely forgotten by that time.

What do ye think of that one boy????

BoBo rebelled against his adopted county(Cavan) and our poor record in Hurling. With causes like that we are in need of enemies!

Funny that, the last time I was in Dublin (Thursday), I used british sterling, saw union jacks flying and saw uk post boxes (admittedly they were painted green but still had the royal coat of arms on them).

I then headed to Crossmaglen on my way back and used euro , saw tricolours flying and saw Irish post boxes (painted green with the harp on).

Hey Boo

Michael Collins ( and indeed your forefathers) was born and lived in an era when All of Ireland was in the UK! When Cork was in the UK!

Were they British!!
