Its not just the Dubs, its usually their matches been either higher profile or higher attendance so stands out more.

And Rubgy can come down of their high horse becuase maybe 5 years ago there was zero but is growing also usually when its a important penalty near the end etc.

That been said, don't like it and have never booed. Though many who do view it more as banter than something malicous.

I like the idea of that. Stand beside someone trying to read or study and then just BOO them!!

I had an interview recently and another candidate stood outside the door booing trying to put me off.
He must have been from Dublin

In fairness I agree with this thread to a certain degree. However the point is being completely blown out of proportion. I have always resented the carry on that goes on in the hill during the championship with carry on such as throwing bangers on to the pitch, but in fairness this IS by the drunken s**mbags of Dublin who somehow manage to get themselves for high profile championship matches purely to use it as a delinquents day on the ****. Its generally these people who have no idea who play in what position for dublin and it really makes me angry giving decent GAA supporters from Dublin like myself and many others a bad name. I will firmly stand my ground and fight the point that this is a small minority. Regarding the booing, it is more than likely kids. Get over it!

I find it funny that an Offaly man has the cheek to comment on Dublins support when the support for their county is almost non existent when there going through a bad spell.

Regarding the hurlers I also live in hope that if this spell of success continues (touch wood), that it will not attract the gangs of muppets that populate small parts of the hill come championship. I am a big Dublin hurler follower and I firmly believe that it has a sincere hurling following.

Twas. Now that the next generation of Healy-Rae have taken up power the tendering process has begun for a new road to bypass the Castleisland bypass.

In Dublin you pick out which book you want, bring it over to the librarian and she reads it out loud for you.

Creb, were you at the Harty Cup Final last week in the GG's? Ard Scoil Ris (Limerick) and Charleville (Cork)?
Ard Scoil whipped them. All though the second half the Ard Scoil fans were singing "Go home and make cheese, go home and make cheese, go home and make cheese"
I and everyone else thought it hilarious. What would you think?

i remember tha 06 semi final the dublin support was shown up for what it truly was- coins flying onto the pitch, abusive language, booing, assaults in the stands when mayo won, assaults my dublin management and players before the game- member of the mayo management team asaulted from behind, mayo female physion knocked out by a dublin player who struck a ball from behind point blank into her head - these were two of the most cowardly acts i ever witnessed both from behind but i suppose it sums up dublin - they got their cummupance that day i remember a steward came over to us at the final whistle and advised us not to leave for a while as he couls not guarntee our safely- a definate dark day for the gaa- the dubs reminded me of the soccer hooligans in lansdowne road in 1995. throwing bottles, coins basically anything the could get theior hand on at mayo players management and subs

I dont remember any punishment ever being handed out either. Whole thing was brushed under the carpet by the media and Croker to protect their darlings.

I was lucky enough to be at that game, I remember the dispair as dublin took that 6 point lead, then the exhilaration as Mayo slowly tore them to shreds. McDonalds beautiful curling point from the edge of the boot and his smile as he broke the hearts of that rabble of miscreants Dublin call supporters.

Aside from the few memorable Laois wins over the years that was probably my happiest day as a sports fan. Right up there with Ireland beating Romania and Italy in world cups, or watching Ireland beat England in Twickenham last year. I was a real victory for decency and sportsmanship over brute force and ignorance.

And yes... Mayo won the mind games trick that day.

It was stupid for the then management to carry on like that... embarrassing to be honest

You will always have to expect the odd few thugs throwing things... unfortunately it happens! It's an imperfect world we live in... And big match days can draw out the clowns.

But it was made far worse by the then management... if they had any sense they should have shrugged their shoulders and gone and warmed up down the Canal End

The players should have just shrugged it off… and used it for their advantage - That's what I would have told the players if I was manager but...…

I guess that's why that particular management team and a lot of that panel are no longer around... but unfortunately there's nothing we can do regarding certain fans.

Mayo went out to cause trouble and well they got exactly what they wanted...
