When did Dublin last beat Kerry at Croke Park?

The 1 reason i give kerry a chance in this game is that darren o sullivan is in the form of his life and could cause dublin serious problems. I'd be more interested in form than in a result. The form of our midfield in particular. David moran has all the attributes to be the outstanding midfielder of his generation, he just needs to start showing them.

On last weeks performances you would have to go for Dublin. However Kerry will not roll over to anyone, they will be up for this one and a great game is on the cards. I'm eagerly looking forward to it, I would still expect the Dubs to come out on top but it could be tight.

Dublin beat Kerry in a league final in Croker in 87,very good game, Duff scored a great goal for the Dubs and a guy called Bolger (big blond fella) starred at midfield for them.I was at the game and thats the last victory i can recall the Dubs having over the Kingom in Croker.

No you're all wrong - the last time the Dubs beat Kerry at Croke Park was October 1993 in the National League. They won it by 2 or 3 points, I seem to remember Keith Barr scoring a goal very close to the end of the match. Before that was April 1993 in a National League semi final, when Niall Guiden scored a goal 5 mins from the end. As PJ already pointed out the Bomber Liston played in that game, and Karl O'Dwyer missed a penalty.

Dublin last beat Kerry in Croke Park on April 18,1993. It was a league semi final that saw the Dubs prevail 1-10 to Kerry's 0-11. Since then the Dubs have beaten Kerry in four league games that were played in Dublin, but I think they were all played outside of Croke Park. The dates were Oct 24 1993, March 15 1998, Nov 28 1999 and March 29 2009.

Can't say I'm confident. Form in the league can be temporary, I wouldn't read too much into some of these wins yet. Missing O'Carroll at the back will be massive with Donaghy playing up front. You need someone that can compete in the air and that is comfortable at FB, I worry for that lad Murray. Also, Gooch is back and he will give Fitzsimons a tough time, although Fitzsimons was very impressive against Cork (think he got man of the match).
On the plus side, Kerry look vulnerable at the back. Although Brosnan seems to be sitting in well at 6, but, the O'Se's aside, I think they look light and lacking real quality in that back line. Bernard will give them a lot to worry about and Mossy is in great form too. O'Gara, although lacking in class, is still a big handful for any FB to worry about with his direct running and his ability to win ball.
I'll give the nod to Kerry by a couple of points

I will have to side with navyn blue, we should not be judging the next 7 months on one match. Both Kerry and Dublin, along with Cork, Kildare, never rule out Tyrone and a couple of more sides, will wisely use the league to find the best 20 wherein the perfect match of 15-20 will be created for the championship. I mention these teams with no disrespect to others because in the depth of talent they have to rely on.These games are mouthwatering nonetheless, all the players involved know their places in the championship are at stake. I feel this game will be enjoyable and worth the trip to Jones Road. Good luck to both sets of supporters, I am neutral in this one. Whenever I attend Dub-Kerry match the banter is first class, and the football is usually enticing as well. I see a draw on the cards.

Have to correct you on one of those results lostintime, the result in 09 was a draw. Remember Alan Brogan kicking a shot that looked to be heading between the posts with Alan's hand in the air ready to celebrate only for the ball to hit the post and come back out.
I remember the win in 93 alright, met the Bomber afterwards in O'Shea's bar and yes the man had put on a few pounds by that stage :-)

But onto more important matters, I reckon tomorrows match could be a real treat. League matches between Kerry and Dublin have usually been entertaining. I remember a game in Tralee (04 or 05) where Dublin were eight points down at one stage only to come back and make a real game of it in the end. There was also the draw in Kilarney in 06 when Vaughan missed a peno and it was also the famous game when Vaughan asked a Kerry player who this lad Moynihan was and whether he was any good. That Kerry player was only Seamus himself!!

Navy, I remember that Vaughan and Seamus incident, great folklore piece. Good luck tomorrow, the Championship is always better when the Dubs are amongst the elite. And Kerry-Dublin league games usually create a great atmosphere both on and off the field.

I was at that league semi final game in 93 when Dublin last bet Kerry in Croker, I remember the Bomber on his comeback getting a rousing reception from Dubs
on the Hill, I think we went on to beat Donegal after a replay in the final that year.
