Hats off to cork on a tremendous display. Some outstanding footballers coming through and good luck to them against galway.
Now to kerry. I had to laugh when i heard john kennedy say cork will take some stopping. Yeah, they will john but you didn't make much of an effort. John kennedy is a lovely guy and a great gaa man but in my opinion he has continously failed at minor and u21 level for years now. A good manager with the teams he had would have won an u21 and at least 1 minor. They were completely unprepared for an admittedly brilliant cork last night and believe me the scoreline flattered us.

905938 I don't agree that wexford will get hammered by the winners in ulster. Think people are still taking for granted that because none of the big guns from Leinster made it through that Leinster is weak this year. Time will tell anyway but I think it's impossible to gauge each province against each other at the moment. The argument could also be put forward that cork walked munster and so the other teams were very weak this year. I am sure that most people will say no that cork are just awesome. If Waterford were in corks position at the moment we would be saying munster was **** and they will get hammered.

Quite right Nick, theres nothing coming out of Ulster at this level, that should unduly worry any of the 3 other semi-finalists.

Thats a good Wexford team alright (as we found out) but I'd have thought they'd beat Longford with a bit more to spare having come through the strong side of the draw. Maybe Leinster is a little weak this year.

I fancy Cork to win it this year! very strong looking line up & they will play the Connacht champs in the semi final (can't see ourselfs or Galway beating them)

I'll go for a Cavan v Cork final with Cork to win it by a few points.

On last nights display Cork would be a match for most Senior Inter-County teams. However whilst they are a very good team and must be favourites to win it out, I feel last night was just one of those special nights when everything went right. They will now need to come off their high horse immediately and get back to basics, a victory of this magnitude can be a curse as it only sets you up for a fall. However the real good news for Cork is that at least 7 or 8 of last nights team look like they will make it on to the Senior panel. The future looks bright down here.

Wexford are a good team and they deserved their win last night, but i dont think they'll go very far in the championship. they murdered us in midfield same old story. we normally just dont have the players to win in these competitions but this years team was definitely good enough to go further. bad performance on the night what can i say. good luck to wexford they'll need it!

The game between Wexford and Longford was played at a phenomenal speed but Wexford really need improvement on basic but key areas of their game if they want to progress.
