I said it before the game the midfield battle would decide the outcome of the game and galway are destroying cavan with all the ball their winning and the galway forwards on form it's not looking good

Terrific! Took the foot off the gas in the second half but still had too much, great for Galway football, and hard luck to cavan

congrats to galway (talk of their demise as a football powerhouse are laughable) and hard luck to cavan who brought a fantastic crowd with them.

Congrats Galway, hope for the future. We have 2 build on this and not let these players fall through the cracks. Alan Mullholland now has managed winning minor and U-21 All-Ireland winning teams. He has 2 be the next Galway manager. Gaillimh Abu.

A fantastic win. Well done the lads. And commiserations to Cavan; just not your day.

@Ulsterman; Spaniards? That's actually quite a good one! We've been called worse! But I have a question; if we're called Spaniards because of a brief trading history in the late 17th century, what sort of names could we come up with for someone in Antrim... ;)

Wonderful performance today - not too much wrong with Galway football on that showing. Hard luck to Cavan. I couldn't agree more mon, given Mulholland's record at Minor and U21. Gaillimh Abu!

FORGET ALL THIS DUBLIN HURLING WHICH IS TAKING OVER THE FORUM.

Although it was a fine result today, its only a league final but Galway are All Ireland CHAMPIONS.

Highly impressive performance from Galway today to round off a wonderful under-21 campaign with a fully-merited All-Ireland success. Some lovely forwards coming through in the county, none more so than young Hehir at centre-forward who for me was the stand-out performer in the game today. Hard luck to Cavan, the game kind of got away from them early enough with those two goals coming together in quick succession.

Very impressed with galway. With all the possession they won in midfield they were remarkably economical with the scores. Howe many wides did they hit? Disappointed with the cavan performance. With the way they have performed all year I thought they would put it up to Galway more but they were ripped apart in midfield which shocked me as I thought Cavan with McKernan would win this sector. Galway on the day paraded the classier forwards and could have won by more. Were any of those players on the 07 minor AI winning side?

Only one team in it after 10 minutes. Well done and congrats to a fine Galway team.
Same ol same ol for Cavan i'm afraid. Too much short passing resulting in turnovers. Three ball to Galway goalie in first 15 minutes when they should have had points. Average players hyped up too much !!

Forde, Fahy and Doherty. Think that's all. A couple of the team had never even played minor for Galway before. Including Hehir.

Rosfan,

Cavan didn't perform today at all. They are better than they showed today but far from outstanding. They will come again i think !!
