Great win last night and well done to everyone involved with the preparation of the Cavan team. Their fitness levels really showed in the 2nd half. Wexford kicked a lot of bad wides which didn't help their cause but they are a good team. Well done to Galway too and lets hope it is a great final with the winners wearing blue !!

nick from wexford if your out there my point about u21 football was proven last night and if cavan had got as much rest as wexford did between final and allireland semi they would have won by 15 points beaten carlow and longford 2 counties that are not exactly football power houses i think you got carried away

You are a pretty sad individual. Again coming up theories without a shred of anything to back it up. You are all 'ifs' and 'buts'. Wexford lost by 5 points full stop. 'Ifs' and 'buts' are a load of crap. Just to defeat your dumb argument too, Cavan aren't exactly a powerhouse of football either but they could potentially beat Galway. Of course you'll have the answer to this too won't you, cause you are such a bloody know it all. Cork were to beat the crap out of the whole world and Galway beat them.

This Cavan team is made of extraordinary stuff, and they wont be stopped in the final.

Well done to Cavan & Galway. Enjoy the Final lads ye both deserve to be there. Ochonlir told us before a ball was kicked that Cavan were going to be condensers this year. Obviously a new training technique that has worked well for them. No disrespect to Galway but I would love to see Cavan win the Final.

I was very impressed with Galway yesterday they have everything needed to Win All Ireland & IMO whoever wins this Semi will win it!

Felt Cavan would make the Final alright but Galway to repeat 2005 by bringing home the cup i feel.

vaporise our opponets and turn them to liquid was what I(ahem) meant. It wasn't a typo having said that Galway will be tough nut to crack we might need a different technologhy.

anyway back to the digging.

Congrats to Galway, deserved winners over the hour. The Cork forwards failed to hit the heights of the Munster Final but that was largely down to Galway's ability to restrict the supply of ball inside by winning a lot of the breaking ball around midfield. Midfield has become something of a problem position for the Galway seniors now for a while but they look to have unearthed a couple of potential gems in Flynn and O'Currain. Duane and Hehir give Galway a strong central spine which will make them hard to beat in the final. Good luck to them in the final in two weeks.

Disappointing day for Cork football but I still think there is a good chance a few of our lads can establish themselves in the senior side before too long. Reports say Aidan Walsh has picked up a hamstring injury which will certainly rule him out of next week's League final but hopefully he can return after a wee rest and energized for the Championship.

great to see so many true football fans on this thread. none of the usual nonsense, just opinions and good wishes wheter their team has won or lost. a breath of fresh air. Well done to galway and cavan, don't know too much about galway. they will need to be at their best to beat this cavan team which should make for a cracking final, really looking forward to it.

Watched Galways game on tg4,they look tidy,Midfield is strong and have a few smart forwards, the centre half forward or wing forward cant remember but they looked a class act.I reckon our forwards Jack and Mc Dermott in particular could do a good bit of damage if given enough ball!Should be craker of a final!C'mon the Breffni!

I have to say the U21 footballers in Galway have really perked up my faith in Galway football in the last few months. The seniors had a disaster of a league and Galway football needed a filip. Alan Mulhollands men have supplied this big time. They were fantastic against Cork and on the run through Connacht.

I just hope we do get a few fans up from Galway beacuse i think the Cavan lads will be making the journey down in droves. Here's to a great final , best wishes to Cavan, but not too much!!!! Up Galway!!!!!

Best of luck to both sides on Saturday. This bullshit about Galway having too much pace down the wings in a big pitch like Croke Park is nonsense, these Cavan boys are used to ploughing acres of land. A Cavan win at 7/4 looks good to me. Lets hope we're in for a cracking entertaining U21 football final like the last few years. Message to the Cavan folklore ..Forget about the farm animals for a few days and enjoy yourselves !! Drink 'til the cows come home ;)

Just want to say best of luck to both teams on Sunday looking forward to this game as a curtain raiser for our own date with Kilkenny.
I was really impressed with Galway in their win over Cork and I don't think many thought Cavan would beat a very good Tyrone team in the Ulster final. This is a great tournament and glad that the teams are getting a run out in Croker for it!

My fear for Cavan is that the luck they have had in keeping out goals will desert them and they will ship 2 goals and lose the run of themselves as they are not used to going behind..

If that doesn't happen I expect a very tight game, with Cavan to win by 4 in the end. Great to be facing Galway too, best of luck to both teams.
