To our northern posters,

All these Mayo boys and their Unionist opinions, I have never met anyone in real life who resembles them and their beliefs down here. It is only on this forum that they seem to appear, I find them very very odd indeed, I cant understand how one could develop such anti Irish opinions, especially coming from a county that suffered dreadfully during the famine. Since I joined HS, I had never come across the terms west brit, revionist, partitionist etc, which is clear evidence that the likes of the Mayo crowd are an isolated, silent minority. In fact it could be said they are merely WUMS, provoking the people of the 6 counties by questioning the validity of their claim to be Irish.

Well, in my own opinion, and in the opinion of the majority of southerners, all people on this island are Irish. Some just have a different heritage and culture. There is no hostility to the 6 counties and its people down here, none at all. Its just the Irish government have never made much effort to help nationalists in the north, and for the life of me I dont know why. I look forward to the day Ireland is re-unified. We will see it in our lifetime, I have no doubt, it must happen eventually anyway, economics in the EU will force it to happen.

Sergeant_Slash - Come on mate - there are two or three mayo posters who have these anti - irish views (mainly trying to wind up people) on here. And there has been ONE poster from mayo (we all know who he is) who has posted what can only be described as a sub-human comment on this thread.

Please don't tar us all with the one brush. Ask the many down fans in castlebar last night if they suffered such abuse?

The Ormeau Road, the only isolated community is Annadale flats. The rest is about 90% Roman.

folks i dont like people who glorify and justify terrorism of any sort- i love how this suddenly makes me a west brit/ unionist. so are you saying if you support completely unjustifiable actions by criminal thugs you are somehow more irish? laughable. the ira are just like the uda/ uvf-as when people as about the terrorism i alwasy say no thats not in ireland its in britan. murdeing will never make you irish im afraid- 30 years achieved nothing for either side it just confirmed to all sensible people like myself that these people are animals
